The installation of this watermain and fire hydrant was a requirement by the City of Renton Fire Department to meet fire flow standards fnr Emil Villa's Mick'ry Pit Restaurant, at 54 Rainier Avenue So. , Renton, MA 98055, As we discussed, the EVB Company no longer owns the property which ortglnally required the installatlon. However, the watermain and fire hydrant riysically lie in the street, on public property, and are not considered sold with the property unless legally (specifically written) transferred at the time of the sale. As the EVB Company paid for the installatlon and has not legslly transfered the waterline and hydrant to the new property owners, you are still the legal owner and are named as such on the 8111-of-Sete. You will find enclosed a Bill-of-Sale that will transfer the ownership, responsibility of maintenance, and liability to the City of Renton. All the necessary legal information for the transfer of the installation has been filled in, and the Bill-of-Sale needs only your signature and notorization. The Clorox Company is not in "the chain of title" with regard to the restaurant. at 54 Rainier Avenue. Originally, the land was leased by a Clorox subsidiary, the EVB Company which owned and operated the restaurant located there. During 1986, as a part of Clarox' s efforts to divest itself of the Emil Villa Hickory Pit restaurant chain, it caused the EVB Company to sell the Renton restaurant and assign the lease.
