Dear Mr. Buck:
Per our conversation this morning, I have prepared a Bill-of-Sale naming the
EV8 Company as the legal owner of the waterline and fire hydrant Installed in
Rainier Avenue So.
The installation of this watermain and fire hydrant was a requirement by the
City of Renton Fire Department to meet fire flow standards fnr Emil Villa's
Mick'ry Pit Restaurant, at 54 Rainier Avenue So. , Renton, MA 98055,
As we discussed, the EVB Company no longer owns the property which ortglnally
required the installatlon. However, the watermain and fire hydrant riysically
lie in the street, on public property, and are not considered sold with the
property unless legally (specifically written) transferred at the time of the
sale.
As the EVB Company paid for the installatlon and has not legslly transfered the
waterline and hydrant to the new property owners, you are still the legal owner
and are named as such on the 8111-of-Sete.
You will find enclosed a Bill-of-Sale that will transfer the ownership,
responsibility of maintenance, and liability to the City of Renton. All the
necessary legal information for the transfer of the installation has been
filled in, and the Bill-of-Sale needs only your signature and notorization. We
have also enclosed a copy of the watermain plan for your records.
Once again, we appreciate the effort oil your part in helping us to clear up
this matter. We thank you for your cooperation and patience!

I must apologize for having mistakenly led you
astray with regard to your request that we
execute a Bill-of-Sale. The Clorox Company is
not in "the chain of title" with regard to the
restaurant. at 54 Rainier Avenue.
Originally, the land was leased by a Clorox
subsidiary, the EVB Company which owned and
operated the restaurant located there. During
1986, as a part of Clarox' s efforts to divest
itself of the Emil Villa Hickory Pit restaurant
chain, it caused the EVB Company to sell the
Renton restaurant and assign the lease. The
assignee and the new tenant of the ground lease
and owner of the restaurant building i::

It has come to our attention in the review of our old open files that there
are some legal documents that have still not been completed for the above-
referenced project. Every major utility extension, both water and sewer,
must be properly transferred to the City of Renton for ownership, operation
and maintenance.
In order to properly transfer ownership to the City of Renton, a Bill-of-
Sale is required, turning the water line and fire hydrant installed for the
Emil Villa Restaurant site over to the City. The installation of your fire
hydrant was a requirement to meet your fire flows by the City of Renton
Fire Department.
We have prepared a Bill-of-Sale and have enclosed it herewith for ;our review
