Gen'-lemen:
we will be complete with the intertie of our water system loop to
the main in Hardy Avenue and the sprinklerization of all tenant
space in thu mini-mall building with the exception of the
Happiness Is restaurant within the next 60 days. Work in the
restaurant will be completed as soon as we are able to legally
enter the space to perform our work. A temporary riser and
coni.ection is being made tonight to energize the Gussini and
Living Well Lady systems in the interim.
To date Northwest Building Corporation has spent $100, 000 on the
sprinklerization of the tenant shops and has approximately
$42,000 remaining unpaid. We have also gent $100,000 to date on
the water system upgrade with approximately $127,000 remaining.
Based on our time schedule and our voluntary participation in
general Life Safety Systems upgrades at Renton Center, I request
that occupancy be granted to Gussini Shoes and Living Well Lady
immediately.

Dear Dick:
On Wednesday, November 28, the Joint Policy Committee approved Renton's
request for $9,600 to cover the cost increase for the Rainier Avenue South
project (1985 FAUS program). Additionally, Renton was awarded $165,960 for
preliminary engineering and construction of the chi,nnelization and
intersection work on S.W. Sunset Boulevard.
It is my understanding that the Transportation Committee of PSCOG must give
firal approval to these allocations, but several members of the Joint Policy
Committee also vote with the second group, so it is a safe assumption that the
award will be forthcoming.
