K.C.W.D. #58 Water System Transfer
SCOPE OF WORK
The work Involved under the terms of this contract Snell be the
transfer of the water system in the Plat of Ponderosa Estates
from the King County Water District 9 58 Water System to the
City of Renton water System. This shall include the furnishing
and installation of 415 feet of 8 inch Ductile Iron Pipe, and
255 feet of Ductile Iron Pipe with Polly-Wrap and electrically
bonded ,joints, 5 connections to the existing City of Renton
system and 2 cut h capes from the K.C.W.D. #58 system. The
work Shall include but not be limited to all excavation,
backfilling, and complete restoration of all surfaces and
existing underground utilities, and furnishing all parts and
appurtenances required to perform the work as shown an the
Plans and specifications.

The City reserves the right to reject any and/o: all bids and to waive
any and/or all informalities.
Approved plans and specifications and form of contract documents may be
Obtained at the Public Works Department office at the Renton Municipal
Building for a deposit of S 35.00 each set plus S 5.00 to cover
postage, it mailed. The deposit will be re/undetl upon Plans and return of the
Specifications In good condition within thirty
opening. The mailing charge will not he refunded, days altar bid
A certified Check or bid bond In the amount of five percent (S%) Of the
total amount of each bid must accompany each bid.

The test stations shall 0e located as shown On the drawings and specified
herein and shall Consist of a Standard 24" long valve BOS (equal to Olympic Type 8) that is set to grade in a cast in place concrete slab that is 6" thick
and 18" square, The valve box shall to bPCkfilled with pea gravel, and shall
be. filled internally "in pea gravel, to within 6" of the top of the valve
box, The terminal block shell be placed inside the box On the gravel surface,

the terminal o1Cac in the test station. The electrode snail be placed 18"
from the pipeline opposite the test station connOCLIOn at the spring line of
the pipeline. Back fill the electrode In A mixture of 50% gypsum .M 50%
