SHINPOCH MAYOR May 12. 1986 RESIDENTS in King County water District 058 City of Renton, Washington Dear Resident: This is to inform you that, as of May 15, 1986, the water system in your area will be transferred from King County water District 058 to the City of Renton. The City of Renton produces it's own water from well fields along the Cedar River (see pamphlet), therefore you will no longer be getting Seattle water. The Renton water system, at this time, is not fluoridated, but the changes needed to begin fluoridation are under way and should be completed by the Spring of 1967, The Renton system will deliver to you water at approximately 60 pounds per square inch and it's hardness will be "medium" instead of the "soft" as you are now getting. Your water bil' will be included on the same billing as your garbage collection. (You will still receive a separate bill for your sanitary sewer from Cascade Sewer). The enclosed pamphlet will give you the Infor- mation you need on your billing. If you have any questions on billing, please call 235-2520; on service or repair call 235-2646. or on engineering call 235-2631. CA Agec;:ies Flextime Reforms Addendum to FHWA Form PR-1273, "Required Contract Provisions" Local Agency Guidelines IV-3-02 On November 6, 1985 the President signed into law the FY 1986 Department of Defense Authorization Act (Pub. L. No. 99-145) which contained flextime reforms for federal and federal aid contractor employees. This portion of thr Act amended the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standar„s Act and the Walsh-Healey Act to allow federal contractors to offer flexible workweeks to their employees w+shout paying overtime compensation. No longer will the strict eight-hour work day be required. Contractors may • now offer workweek alternatives such as four ten-hour days. These refs-"s are applicable to the Federal Highway Administration funded projects and take effect on January 1, 1986. Form PR-1273, 'Required Contrrrt Frovisions", will be amended at Section 1V, Subsections 7 and 8. in the meantime, all contracts let after January 1, 1986 will have to incorporate this change by means of addendum paragrap�s, a copy of which is attached.
