necessary to enter upon said above described property for the purpose of construct-
ing, maintaining, repairing, altering or reconstructing said utilities, or making

SUBJECT: WATER UTILITY JURISDICTION WITHIN RENTON-TUKWILA
BOUNDARY ADJUSTMENT CAG 046-86
Dear Mr. Earnst:
Per the interlocal agreement accepting certain properties in Renton to be
annexed to Tukwila and visa verse, I am enclosing a certified copy of my
entire file for the Andy's Diner project for the water utility within the
northerly portion of the transfer, together with a full set of water plans
for the project. It is within this northerly portion of the transfer area
that Tukwila will assume jurisdiction of the existing water lines. As you
know the City of Renton will retain Jurisdiction over all utilities within
the southerly portion of the transfer bounded by S.W. 43rd Street, West
Valley Highway, and by N LN of S 1/2 of Sw 1/4 of STR 25-23-4 on the north.
With regard to fire protection, since your specifications may differ from
ours, I would like to know if our fire hydrant standards meet with your
approval. I have enclosed a copy of our water standard details and I have
marked the fire hydrant assembly detail for your easy reference. All fire
hydrants installed In the northerly portion of the transfer were Installed
according to these specifications.
With regard to utility easements, I am enclosing copies of four easements
recorded with the Glacier Park Short Plat which also lies In the northerly
portion of the transfer. This property has yet to develop. These easements
as well as the waterline easement for Andy-s Diner, reflect the City of
Renton as grantee. Please check with your legal counsel to see if these
easements need to be assigned from Renton to Tukwila.
Please let me know if /ou have any concerns with the fire hydrants being
acceptable or with the utility easements being in the City of Renton's name.
