SUMMARY OF ACTION.
The project started on August 19, 1989, and Was completed on February 1, 1940, The Public Works
Department recommends that the project and final pay estimate be approved and the retainage of
$15,59133 be released after thirty (30) days, subject to the receipt of all required authorizations.
The original contract amount was 5305,599.84 and the final contract is SWJ28.19.
The 10% increase in cost is mainly due to the need to use more imported trench backfill material and the
reconstruction of several non-conforming driveways to prevent potential flooding from street ran-off.
This convect is a portion of it three-phased project funded through the Water systems Major
Improvements Account.
The total budgeted amount is $1,533,095.52 and the actual total completion cost is $1,518,$33.62 which is
