The following is a portion of Ordinance 03056. City of Renton. Washington,
which amends Chapter 2 of Title Ill (Departments) of Ordinance "1618 entitled 4
"Code of General Ordinances of the City of Renton" pertaining to the Water
Department, relating to charges, installations, fees and procedures.
Section 1-206, Subsection (F) as amended:
(F) Whenever it is deemed prudent, in case of a new development
of subdivision, to install the service fS the main to the
property line, hereinafter mferred to as "stub service"
prior to corpletion of street construction, the Nty wi 11
provide such service ,for sixty percent (60%) of the then
current installation cost for such service. At such time
that meter installation is requested, the remaining balance
of the then current mte shall be collected and paid for by
such developer or sub-divider.
It is agreed by Woodland Investment Corporation
and, THE CITY OF RENfON, that at the time of water meter installation the
difference between the stub servic. charge and the service charge then in
effect when the meter is installed t..- established by City Council) will have

3. New hydrants are to be covered with burlap bags until operational.
4. All blocking must he inspected by a City inspector prior to backfill. ..,,

6. Call 911 if the watermain needs to be shut off.
7. No fuel is being stored on site per proponent.
8. Spear will do tap for hydrants.
i1. Pipe materials, valves, fittings shall be as indicated in the standard notes.
2 All connection to existing mains to be accomplished by the City of Renton. All
necessary excavation, shoring and materials to be supplied by the contractor and be on- i
site prier to City notifications.
3. Final acceptance shall be after final walk through inspection,adjustment of all
structures and approval of As-Builts, Cost Data Inventory. �+

2. Pipe bedding for PVC pipe shall be pea gravel 6" above and below the pipe.
3. Select backfill shall be compacted to at least 95% of maximum density.
4. Contractor will be responsible for TV if required by inspector.

1. Good erosion control measures are to be exercised at all times.
2. All pipes and materials shall be per approved plan.
3. Contractor must notify engineer of any vertical conflict prior to proceeding with i
construction. Submit a shop drawing for review.
4. Bedding material shall be per Standard Specifications 9-03.12(3).
5. Backf,ll shall be compacted to at least 95% of nwimum density.
6. City wants a nice smooth grout inside the CB.
7. Use watertight or heatshrunk couplings on all ADS n12 pipes.

The following is a portion of Ordinance 03OS6, City of Renton, Washington,
which amends Chapter 2 of Title 111 (Departments) of Ordinance 0162E entitled
"Code of General Ordinances of the City of Renton" pertaining to the hater
Department, relating to charges, installations, fees and procedures.
1 Section 3-206, Subsection (F) as amended:(F) Whenever it is deemed prudent, in case of a new development
of subdivision, to install the Service from the main to the
property line, hereinafter referred to as "stub Service"
prior to completion of street construction, the City will
provide Such Service for sixty percent (60%) of the then 4
current installation cost for such service. At such time � I
that mater installation is requested, the remaining balance
of the then current rate shalt be oolleoted and paL' for by
such developer or sub-divider.

A. City Installed Stub Service and Net er
The Developer agrees via "Stub Service Agreement" to have the City install
all stub services in his new development. At this time he can pay for I ^
only the stub service, at a rate of bO% of the present cost of 3/4" water
service as established by city ordinance or he can pay the entire service
cost an,' not have the meters set until he is ready for them. If he chooses
to pay only the 60% stub service fee, when the meter is requested the
difference between the existing3/4" water service cost (at time of serer
installation) and the stub service fee originally paid will be levied.
B. Developer Installed Stub Service and City Installed Meter
The Developer agrees via 'Stub Service Agreement" to install stub services
and to have the City install the meters. For installing the stub service w
the developer will be credited the 60% stub service fee at the time the
meter is applied for. As above the meter portion of the service can be
paid for at the time of service irstallation estab.ishing a set fee (the
meter being set at option of Developer) or at a later data, the meter fee
then being the difference between the stub service credit and the present
(at the time of meter installation) 3/4" water service cost.
If the Developer chooses to install the stub services, the following
requirements will have to be met.
1. Prior to stub servi,e installation the watermain will have to
pass pressure and purity tests.
The original reproducible as-built drawing of the watermain will
have to be supplied to this office prior to stub service installation.
3. A screen mylar of the above-mentioned as-built drawing showing the
locations of the proposed locations of the stub services by
stationing will have to be supplied to this office as well as the
negative the screen mylar was made from.
4. All materials used in stub services shall meet City of Renton
specifications.
S. No stub services will be allowed closer than 10 feet (measured
horizontally) from any underground conduit or direct bury lines
such as power, telephone. TV, etc., sanitary side sewers and/or
storm drains.
6. All installed water services trench& shall be left open until
inspected by city representative.
7. Select backfill shall be used for trench backfill at the direction
of the city representative.
