SUBJECT: Release of Easement
Renton Village Assoc.
In response to your March 20, 1989 memo, please be advised we validated the
petition for the above-referenced release of easement in our December 13, 198Q
memo to you (copy attached).
The insurance company providing insurance coverage for the Renton Village
Cinema building required that 130 ft. of water main together with an existing
fire hydrant remain in service. This requirement will reduce the length of
easement aroposed for release and add an additional new easement area to the
waterline easement granted to the City.
These charges require a revision of the legal description within the easements
and a revision of the supporting maps and exhibits originally submitted by the
owners ant their civil engineers. These revisions are their responsibility to
make.
We are working directly with the developer's engineer in an effort to resolve
these tecinical issues.
Until these issues are resolved, we cannot continue with processing the release
of easement.

Gentlemen:
Per our discussions with Dace Tibbot at the City's pre-construction meeting on January 5,
1989, the Renton Village Management Corporation requests that the following modification
be approved for incorporation into the current project. (See revised sheet C5a, issue D for
sketch of modifications.)
1. Request that the existing fire hydrant to the cast of the Cinema remain in
place and that the existing line be plugged just west of the tce adjacent to
the existing fire hydrant. This request is made per the Owner's insurance
representative. The existing line north of the fire hydrant will remain
active and a new tee will be provided at Station 0+00 as shown in revised
detail "A".
2. Request that the new water main and fire hydrants be installed in the
following phases:
PHASE 1 - New 8-inch bypass main be installed complete with tees and
valves for the new fire hydrants and building service. The existing two
fire hydrants, one to the west and one to the east, will remain operational
and accessible throughout the new Cinema construction period.
PHASE Il - Once the building is up and site work ,_n be accomplished
(June 1989) the new fire hydrants and meter assemblies would be
installed. Also the existing fire hydrant to the west of the building will be
removed.
Modification No. 2 will allow the General Contractor to work around the
building with heavy equipment, without fear of damage to any of the new
water appurtenances.

1. VATHR MAIN (ref. water plan)
a) Station 3+S4.west side of the theater,remove concrete from the valve box
cover,remove cover and check the depth to the valve nut than provide a
valve nut extension if necessary.
b) Station D+48 (front of theater: replace broken valve box cover.
c) Station 0+48,Provide a 2ft. valve nut extension for this 6"ante valve.

depth to the valve nut and provide an extension if necessary.
