This is in response to your letter of March 31 wherein you requested
our review and concurrence of your plans to install a 6 inch
watermain across the City of Seattle's Cedar River Pipeline easement
right-of-way in the vicinity of Renton Avenue S.
We have enclosed a consent for installation with attached exhibits.
Thank you for the consideration shove in requesting our review and
concurrence. +
Cathodic protection for our pipeline system is limited to east of '
Grant Avenue S. Thus protection of your watermain in Renton Avenue S.
with a test station, is not required. If you still desire our
specifications for wire bonding to our pipes, let us know, and we
will send them to you. If you should have any questions, please -
contact Mr. Marlo Schmidt at 625-5670.

CONSENT 15 REMY GIVEN to the following named petitioner, ;
A
City of Renton, Municipal Building, 200 Hill Avenue S.. Renton. WA 98055
for the installation, maintenance and operation of a b inch ductile iron
watermein across the City of Seattle's Cedar River Pipeline ins easement rf Rht-of-way,
said installation located 8 feet east of and parallel with the centerline of
Renton Avenue South, all situated in the SW% of Sec. 17-23-5. in Ring County,
Washington (Book Map page 328) and as depleted on sheet 415, field book 527. . .
"1983 Water Improvements, Renton Avenue South, 11+00 to 12+50." by City of Renton,
said installation to be buried at an approximate depth of 30 inches.
90B,IECT TO the following stipulations,
1. The Seattle Water department shall be notified (255-2242) at least 48 hours prior
to installation, maintenance or reconstruction of said wateraain
? Consantee's use of the right of way shall in no Way interfere with the operation,
maintenance or reconstruction of the City's existing pipeline facility. A minimum
vertical clearance of six inches shall be maintained between said installation
and the City's existing pipeline facility.
3. The trench excavation for said Installation should be restrained to a
maximum width of three fast in the immediate vicinity of City's existing pipeline to
protect the existing pipe bedding. esckfill for the trench in this vicinity should
be of a suitable material that is firmly compacted to approximately 95 percent com-
e paction.
4. Consentee agrees to pay to the City the cost of repair of any of the City's
facilities damaged by the installation, operation or maintenance of said
Installation
S. The City of Seattle to be saved harmless from any and all damages which may
accrue to any persons or property by reason of this installation or use, or the
maintenance or operation thereof. Consented agrees to restore the premise:: to the y
condition found, or better.
1' PROVIDED, that the City does not waive or subordinate any of the rights and pri-
vileges granted to the City. This consent is subject to existing rights, if any,
of other parties.
