Dear Mr. Columbi :
This letter is written in response to your request to Richard C. Houghton,
Public Works Director, on the procedure for cost participation in a water
line installation.
In particular, the easement that you are granting to Sunset House located
on Union Ave. N.E. , is for a water main through your property, and entitled
Sunset House Watermain Water Project BW-855. The ordinance on cost parti-
cipation spells out that if a property has participated in the cost of a
water line, it does not have to pay it's fair share for said water line.
To prove that you have participated, you need to get a letter from Sunset
House stating that you have participated in the cost of that water line
which is located in your easement area. You can refer to that main with
Water Project NW-855, Sunset House, and attach a sketch of the easement
area. We will include it in the file and note it on our maps that you
have participated.
This, of course, will not alleviate you from any system develupment fees,
or inspection fees which are general charges by the City, or for meter
costs.
If you have any questions on the above, please contact this office.
