PVC sewer fittings shall be manufactured in accordance with either ASTM D-3033-79 SDR 35, SDR 41, or ASTM 0-3034-78 SDR 42, or SDR 35. 2.0 The purpose of GPK fittings is to convey municipal sanitary and industrial wastes, storm water run off and many other related applications. They are designed to be used in a gravity flow and low pressure application not to exceed 25 PSI, 3.0 Chemical Resistance. GPK fittings will not be affected by sewer gases, particularly hydrogen sulfide. nor sulphuric acid which is the usual result of chemical waste when combined with water. 4.0 Marking. GPK fittings shall be marked with ASTM number, applicable size, IAPMO letters and company name. 5.0 Testing. GPK recommends a test after installation of either low pressure air or a water infiltration- exfiltration test. The allowable leakage would be as follows: 5.1 Air Tast Not over 3.5 PSIG with a possible drop to 3.0 PSIG. The minimum time shall be not more than the following: 4" - 21/2 minutes 8" - 5 minutes 12" - 71/2 minutes 6" - 4 minutes 10" - 6 minutes 15" - 91/z mini*es 5.2 Water Test When testing for extiltration the average internal pressure shall not be greater than 5 PSI and at any part of the total system shall not be under any greater pressure than 10.8 PSI or (25 ft. head). The maximum water loss allowance shall not be greater than 50 gallons per inch of pipe diameter, per mile, per 24 hours. Infiltration testing s`ell be the same allowable as the extiltration allowable. 6.0 Deflection Test. The maximum allowable pipe's fitting deflection should be 7112%. Testing for this is unnecessary when using proper construction practices and inspection during pipe and fitting in- stallation. 4 may be used when unstable trench walls or bottoms, heavy rainfall, frozen soil, high ground water levels, deep lines,or difficulty in attaining compaction is present. A television camera Ora "gonogo" gage are some devices used.-- --- - - --- " -'- 7.0 Backfilling and Tamping. Backfilling shoulA follow-closely after assembly of pipe and fittings. I 7.1 Backfilling with proper material is ))important for side support which enables p;pe, fitting and soil to work together to meet designed load requirements. This eliminates deflectiod and shear breaks due to heavy loads. Approved material shall be used properly compacted continuously above and around the pipe and fittings as well as between the fitting and trench wall 1 i r Date 1'2- 2_ ey 1 i PVTOf MMM IVNIY USA' Gi i/ S/ -0; loJ f GX' 7"HC GGCGGr/r /Cf-!Sc>✓S TU /l'Gl/i✓v /%/lJ% ' , yidi ECG/"F/C/c✓T 0 e -KYSLAL_ 6y7-0 40 'f/C O'/D$ /✓ /RUC ff k'FpCr-% Tc` Te(,) IC ff -see- .Scci- (ors' PWRpe Data Sheet: Twin Seal® Sewer Pipe Awn toils UnSeal Sewer Pips Conforms to ASTM 03034 SOR 35 la"4S'),ASTM 1`679116"24-1.SCS Noted ASTA1 01761 CON CIW 12151 A.B eomnal -- -- lase AWamuln APpda vn r O Te atsl6e Inside I9a6 Awe. 97t lea 7 00' Per 100' Pae 1 1 00' 74r 00' —_see D aToew D NWW Thbknesa 1"'P+dW 11214 P KUI Go"En0 _ 1 1.215 3.690 '120 1034 1046 S 6.275 $742 .t60 231.2 234.66. _ 400 _ 7"S .240 416.1 624 t_ _ 9.563 305 65L1 6660 50f72555 _ --...__.. 12 tt36t .360 — 934.2 955 S - 15.30 13.M .437 1392.7 t111$ 16]O1 16.976 .536 21154 21 22 047 20.004 .632 29399 ~-24 24.803 22460 .711 37665 —.---- $two No": 1 Gaskmed Bell ends avatiaolc in both 20'a 12'/" net laving lengths on 6"12" 2 An orders subrecl to tmai acceptance a Eugene othil Crate Quantities .--&:e -i 20— —i21n - --__---'--- ECM- Loom 1 960 me 225 —_300 -------,PA - _._. 12 120 _—_-- . - 75 -- .__t5 120 _ 7s 16 _ 10110 TS13L5 40.—. - 2S._—. . .,....... 24 'c~Tyne sorer can Sol" ,_. - 'r- '• E.7 P { C - p bye .. ,... - Date ►ACIFK WESTERN EXTRUDED PLASM COM►ANT NNN FF iGo,.S"S 226 - t7Eoo .40 c2 lGJ r3 n resrr P !S NOTED µ11 l dVtr Gate _ Y { 1 QASSOCIATED SAND & GRAVEL Everett(206)355.2111 Seattle 12061624-0301 c$G COMPANY.
