2. All new hydrants shall be Cory type hydrants to be painted Safety yellow.
Preservative Paint. Iowa and Renselear are manufacturers of Cory type.
3. Now hydrants are to be covered with burlap bags until operational.
4. All blocking must be inspected by a City inspector prior to backfill.
S. Leads that exceed 50 fast in length shall be 8'.
6. Call 911 if the watermain need&to be shut off (emergency onlyl All other water
mains or valves shut down. call Renton Water Department at 235.2646.
7. No fuels will be stored on-site per contractor.
8. All underground mains serving fire sprinkler systems must be Installed by a
Washington State candied firs sprinkler contractor(everything beyond the backflow
-from the back of the device to the buddingl.

9 No construction above foundation until fire hydrants are in service. Call 911 when
working in right-of-wey.

2. Pipe materials. valves, fittings shall be as indicated in the standard nobs.
!I 3. The contractor will install all of the watermain except the connection. All
connections to existing mains to be accomplished by the City of Renton. All
necessary excov.lion. shonng, and materials. to be supplied by the contractor and
i be on-site prior to City notification.
4. All blocking must be inspected before backfilling. Thrust blocks must be formed.
Concrete used must be delivered to the job Ino onaib mixes). In the street and in
all crossings, the City requires 518" minus rock backfill. Compaction test may be
required.
5. Procedure for cleaning: Pipe c'eamng shall be by poly pigging through ironical
j crosses. All services shall be pressure tested to a minimum of 200 psi or 1F0 over
j operating pressure(staticl for 2 hours. Chlorinate for 24 hours, using liquid chlorine
1 and chlorine pump assembly. Talk to the inspector to schedule chlorinating. They
need a week 15 working days)advance notice. Flushing shall be drained into the
sanitary. Water purity tests are taken to the laboratory on Wednesday. Contractor
shall arrange courier for any other day.
6. Where conflict exists, the water shall go under other utilities. however, no water I s
mains shall be under more than 6 feet of cover.
7. Final acceptance shall be often final walk through inspection, adjustment of all
structures and approval of os-buills, cost data inventory.

8. The contractor, as well as the Sing, ,aer, shall keep as-bullt drawings. All changes
shall be shown on as-budts. As-builts shall be per City specifications. Do not erase
design, just draw single line through it and write in new data. For any field changes. -o
if minor. give City a shop drawing Iby FA%/235-25411: if major, need a day or two -
to review and al-prove Field inspector can not give approval in field for construction
changes.
SANITARY SEWER:
1 All pipes and materials shall be per approved plan.
2. Pipe bedding for PVC pipe shall be pea gravel 6" above and below the pipe.
3. Select backfill shall be compactel to at least 95% of maximum density.
4. Contractor will be responsible for lambing of the sanitary line. Air tests on mein and
side sewers shall be per City specification. Number 6 wire shall be wrapped around
the stub and extended to the top.
5. Cleanouts are to be surface cleanouts.

STORMWATER: -
1. Good erosion control measures are to be exercised at all times.
2. All pipes and materials shall be per approved plan.
3. Contractor must nullify engineer of any vertical conflict prior to proceeding with
iconstruction. Submit a show drewmg for review.
