PRIVATE UTILITIES: None represented. USI contacted by Contractor.
FIRE PREVENTION:
1. Maintain access to site at all times. Must be able to support emergency equipment in all I
types of weather. -

2. All new hydrants shall be Cory type hydrants to be painted Safety Yellow. Iowa and
Remelew a,e manufacturers of Cory type.
3. New hydtaou are to be covered with burlap bags until operational.
4. All blocking must be inspected by a City inspector prior to backfill.
5. Leads that exceed 50 feet in length shall be 8".
6. Call 911 if the watermain needs o be shut off(emergency only). All other water mains or '
valves shut down,call&coordinate with the Renton Water Department at 235-2646.
7. Fuel--any temp y on-site Poet supplies must be permitted through Fire Prevention. '
8. All underground maim serving fire sprinkler systems must be installed by a Washington
State certified fire sprinkler contractor. Verification of meter size for sprinklers prior to k.
paving of road to be accomplished by developer.

9. Confirmed this is site improvements only,the existing house has been moved. '
WATER:

2. Pipe materials,valves, linings shall be as indicated in the standard notes. All water mains
shall be polywrapped.
3. The contractor will install all of the watem in except the connection. All connections to
existing mains to be accomplished by the City of Renton. All necessary excavation,
shoring, and materials to be supplied by the contractor and be on-site prior to City
notification.
4. All blocking must be inspected before backtilling. Thrust blocks must be formed.
Concrete used must be delivered to the job (no on-site mixes). In the street and in all
crossings,the City requires 5/8' minus rock backfill. Compaction test may be required.

5. Procedure for cleaning: Pipe cleaning shall be by pob- pigging through vertical crosses.
Water purity tests are taken to the laboratory on Wednesday. Contractor shall arrange
courier for any other day. Expect 5-7 days for test results.
Procedure and order of testing is: install line with temporary blocking, 2 hour pressure
text,chlorination to 50 ppm for 24 hours, flush line to sanitary,sample at end caps and fire ;
hydrants. Services may be tested separately by visual inspection at the core stop under
static pressure. Protect the tail piece under the sidewalks to prevent crimping.
6. Where conflict exists, the water shall go under other utilities,however, it is preferred that
waterlines have no more than 6 feet of cover. T

7. Final acceptance shall be after final walk through inspection, adjustment of all structure
and approval of as-buihs,cost data inventory.
8. The contractor,as well as the engineer, shall keep as-built drawings. All changes shall be
shown on as-builts. As-builts shall be per City specifications. For any major field changes
submit a shop drawing (by FAX- 235-2541) allow a day or two to review and approve.
Field inspector may only give approval in field for minor (one foot or less) construction `r
changes.

9. A srubout agreement for the subdivision is ready for signature. (signed)
10.Hydrant installation shall be 6' above grade unless finish grade is known. Rotate the
hydrant ears toward the water main. Paint with two coats of safety yellow.
11.Request for credit on the SUCC fees for Lot 1, Mission Hills. There was no decision on
! whether this was appropriate or not. Will be checking on it.
SANITARY SEWER:
1. All pipes and materials shall be per approved plan.
2. All roadway fill shall be in place, installed and compacted to finish subgrade prior to
excavation for the installation of the sanitary sewer.
3. Pipe bedding for PVC pipe shall be pea gravel 6' above and below the pipe.
4. Select backfill shall be compacted to at least 95% of maximum density.
5. Any side sewer with less than four feet of cover shall be ductile iron pipe.
6. Contractor will be responsible for TV of the xanitary line. TV after channeling is
complete. Air tests on main and sidesewers shall be per City specification. Number 6
wire shall be wrapped around the stud and extended to the top.
7. Contractor shall asbuilt the invert elevation of side sewer stub..
STORM:

I. Erosion control measures are to be exercised at all times. Maintain 12" drainage line and
clear any obstructions immediately to keep ditches clear of standing water.
2. All pipes and materials shall be per approved plan.
3. Contractor must notify engineer of any vertical conflict prior to proceeding with
construction. Submit a shop drawing for review. '
4. Bedding material shall be per Standard Specifications 9-03.12(3). ' •t

5. Backfill shall be compacted to at least 95% of maximum uensity.
6. Grout finish in catch basins shall be smooth and even. t

8. After construction is completed,entire system is to be Bushed and cleaned.
9. Smooth interior wall corrugated polyethylene storm water pipe, where permitted, shall use
heat shrunk or watertight couplings. It shall also be bedded in pea gravel to the springline-

TRANSPORTATION:

(DEVELOPER INSTALLED STUBS)
A developer will be granted a credit of 60% of the current 3)4" water service cost
for Installing the stub portion of the water service when he makes a meter applica-
tion. This credit Is based on a portion of Ordinance A3056, City of Renton,
Washington, which amends Chapter 2 of Title III (Departments) of Ordinance 01628
entitled "Code of General Ordinances of the City of Renton" pertaining to the Water
Department, relating to cnarges, Installations, fees and procedures.
Section 3-206, Subsection (F) as amended:
(F) Whenever it is deemed prudent, in case of a now development
of subdivision, to install the service from the main to the n
property line, hereinafter referred to as "stub service"
prior to ecmplation of street construction, the City vill
provide such service for sixty percent (60%) of the then
current installation wet for such service. At such time
that meter installation is requested, the remaining balance
of the then currant rate shall be collected and paid for by
such developer or sub-divider.
