Valley Road in order to avoid an interruption of the water service to the Keg restaurant and several other businesses in the vicinity of the Home Base project. Instead of the installation of the two new 12- gate valves by the"cut-in"method which will require a shut- down of the existing water line,we are proposing that the connections be done by "wet-taps". A sketch showing the proposed changes is attached. The two concrete romholes for the 12' valves will be deleted for these two connections. The City currently allows only two contractors to perform this work. They are Speer Taps, Ire. ( Byron Gibbs, 361.8053) and Pacific Water Works Supply Co. (1-800-422-2038). Please let me know which one of the two you select to Use The water installation fees 480 previously paid udder the utilities permit no. C940285 for this project, only cover the work to be done by City forces to perform the two fmal connections (S400.00 per connection)between the new water line to the existing water main on E.
