Theme projects will cost $217,273, with only $157,000 budgeted. I pro-
pose to fund the remainder with the $45,703 Swer Fund Carry Forward
money from 1982's budget, for a total budgeted amount of $202.703, and
utilizing $15,D00 from unanticipated latecomers and connection fees
already collected.
As for ou• Project Categories "B", I suggest that these be held until
Project "C" work is completed. Projects not to be built this year ire:

Project Categories "C', the Money Creek Interceptor and Swer Pump Station
Telemetry and Electrical repairs would be funded from unanticipated late-

fees, and, in addition, expect to collect theme additional amounts from
developers:

In addition to these ewer funds and new revenues, I have reviewed our
Water Improvement Projects Status. Three projects appear to be unable
to move toward construction in 1983 because of coordination with other
street work:
A. Wells Ave. Bridge Watermain
Bridge not to be built until 1984
Budgeted $ 25.000
B. Graay Way/Springbrook Crossing
No progress on street LID until 1984
Budgeted $ 18.000
C. Raymond Ave. S.W./I-405 Crossing
Can be deferred until 1984
Budgeted 40.0
Total $ 83.000

This nukes available an additional $83,000 a $118,365 or $201,364 which could
he reapproprlated to fund our Category "C" Honey Creek Project and assure con-
struction of, at least, Honey Creek Phase I this year.
In addition, of some $129,133 Water Fund Carryover from 1982. $75,000 could
be lade available by deferring several projects:
1982 Water Fund Carryover
1. Shattuck Ave. S.W. and S.W. 19th St. Pressure Reducing Station $15,000 a
2. Raymund Ave. S.W. I-403 Crossing - 12" watermain not built -
in permit process $37.500
3. S. 26th St. and Benson Road Pressure Reducing Station
Not built. $20,000 a
4. Grant Ave. and Benson Pressure Reducing Station
Not built. $40,000 a
5. Tay`or Ave. Watermain Replacement - bcder construction. $12,500
Projects No. 1, No. 3 and No. 4 could be deferred until 1983a, making available
$75,000 for Category "C" projects.
This $75,000 1 propose to be reapproprlated to fund our Category "C" Jones Ave.
N.F. 03 Collector Sewer project. Any unneeded funds could be used for further

The shove captioned contract is approved as to legal form.
We note that there is a typographical error in the bond given
by Ford Construction Company and International Fidelity Insurance
Company. In the fifth line of the last paragraph "materialmen"
is mispelled. Since this is a very significant portion of
any construction contract, we would deem it necessary that this
bond be corrected and the correction initialled by the co.tractor
and the surety.

in the amount of 18 days, to accommodate the time required for installs-
tim and restoration of the additional side sewer footages added to the
contract, on Wells Avenue South.
These days include the loss of time for freezing weather, and hold-up
on the water main extensim.

Gentlemen:
Enclosed is the "Weekly Statement of Working Days" for the week ending
October 21, 1983. Please note there are 15 working days remaining on the
referenced contract as of October 21, 1983.
Reference is made to your "projected partial payments" of September 12,
1983, wherein you projected a payment of $83,432.01 for Estimate 1 1 . The
actual payment for Estimate #1 was $43,800.50 of which 515,944.99 was paid
for "material on hand". It is obvious from progress to date that the prcject
will not be completed en schedule unless a diligent effort is made on
your part to supply sufficient manpower and equipment to complete the
project on schedule.
The City is understandably concerned about possible delays regaraing the
street overlay contract scheduled to proceed the sanitary sewer install-,tion.
Please provide this office with x revised estimate of projected payments.
