Vlla CTY REPORT/Terry Hiashivama, Peter Renner
Peter Renner talked about the Highlands Library and some of the setbacks. One being the
window situation, where as they were shot with pellets. It takes a long to time to ordeth
new windaws and remove the old ard remove and cean the panes. They are now looking at
the end of IVavemer for completion. The other issue has been the franchise utilities and the
road. he City will do the road around park property/gaing to bid in January. Thfranchise
utilities nearJat 0`" and Sunset some utili#ies have been hard to oordinate and there hae
been many changes. 8ob Carnes has been staying on tap of it and should be ready for install
Thursday ard shauld only take a few days for all ta be installed. All utilities undergraund and
there will be about seven aults, with four transformers far the library. Meanwhile
contractor using generator#o install eleators. 5ubstantial completion was tentatiely set for
August 31 with an opening date in October but that has abiously been pushed back.

fifming from previous days via a partable laptop and mentioned that liveideo is accessible by
computer by Police on patrol. Cameras are already installed at many of our parks throughaut
the City. Cameras hae also been installed on the roof of the new Wighlands Library and can
record actiity day or night. Parks and Facilities crews can also view history to see acti►►ities
that rrray hae occurred the previous nights upan arrival the next morning, where they can
check for any vandalism situation that may need to be addressed. It recently worked well at
the City Garage where#here was s small groups af people "hanging" out at the garage and
the poice were easify dispatched and able ta easily deter the people from causing traule.
