Officer Narrative
Narrative
This incident was captured on my body worn video camera and/or in-car dash camera. This report is a
summary of events that occurred and is not an exact sequencing of events.
On 11/23/2024 at approximately 1900 hours I was dispatched to the report of a hit and run collision that
occurred at 2821 NE 7TH ST Renton, King,WA.The reporting party, later identified as Favian C. De La Cruz
(DOB: 01/15/1992), reported that an unknown vehicle struck a street sign and drove away.
At approximately 1905 hours I arrived and observed a street intersection sign (NE 7TH ST/Index PL NE) laying
on its side at the intersection of NE 7TH ST and Index PL NE.The sign was on the north side of the road and
appeared to have been broken at the base of the wooden pole.
I contacted Favian who showed me a road speed (25mph)sign that had been struck and was laying on its side
outside of the dispatched address on the south side of NE 7Th ST. Favian said he heard the collision and then
saw both signs laying on their sides but did not see the vehicle hit them.
I took photographs of both signs and uploaded them to Axon evidence.com for review.The Renton Records
Department notified the Renton City Streets Department to have the signs fixed.
There was no suspect information, and this ended my involvement in this case.
