Based on review of the checklist associated with this project, the Department of Ecology (Ecology) has the following comments: Section B. Environmental Elements, Subsection 7. Environmental health: Ecology records show there is an underground storage tank (UST) located on the property within the area of proposed work. The 500-gallon steel tank was closed in place as of May 7, 1986. Please add the UST information to the above-referenced section of the SEPA Checklist. The applicant is advised to follow all regulations per WAC 173-360A (notify the department of removal and perform a site assessment) if the tank is removed as part of this project. Thank you for considering these comments from Ecology. If you have any questions or would like to respond to these comments, please contact Michelle Huber from the Toxics Cleanup Program at (564) 565-0741 or by email at michelle.huber@ecy.wa.gov.
