CARRIED STAFF COMMENTS Page 1 of 3 June 10, 2025 REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES DCAO Rowland shared regrets on behalf of the Mayor who was unable to attend. AUDIENCE COMMENT Those wishing to address the Equity Commission will be called upon. Each speaker is allowed three (3) minutes. Tristan Kochen shared that he was happy to be attending the Equity Commission meeting. CONSENT AGENDA Approval of May 13, 2025, meeting minutes Hannah Miller, ESD Administrative Assistant MOVED BY IMAOKA, SECONDED BY BADDELEY TO APPROVE THE CONSENT AGENDA. UNFINISHED BUSINESS Legislative Session Recap Eric Perry, Government Affairs Manager NEW BUSINESS Parks, Recreation, and Open Space (PROS) Plan Engagement Maryjane Van Cleave, Parks and Recreation Administrator Jason Lederer, Parks Planning Manager Ty Hairr, Associate Planner COMMITTEE MEMBER COMMENTS Commissioner Imaoka thanked Hannah for providing black and white double-sided copies for the commission. Commissioner Baddeley shared that her daughter is graduating from high school and she has enjoyed seeing her daughter and friends out enjoying Renton's parks. She also shared some concerns about extra car traffic and safety in neighborhoods near beaches during the summer. Commissioner Baddeley also shared that she recently had to evacuate her home due to a gas leak nearby and wanted to share that the first responders were great in the process. She urged everyone to enjoy the warmer weather and be safe. COMMITTEE CHAIR COMMENTS Chair Cohen shared that she was impressed with the photos from the Pride Flag Raising, and will try to attend the Juneteenth Flag Raising.
