Narrative
On 09/05/2025 at about 1145 hours I was working uniform marked patrol as 1R23 and driving a marked patrol
car as I entered the Brown Bear carwash located at 621 Rainier Ave S within the city limits of Renton, King
County, Washington. My patrol car(Vehicle#267 with Washington state exempt license plate 66291D) had
gone about halfway through the carwash when one of the brushes got entangled with the exterior spotlight
that was affixed to the driver side A frame portion of my patrol car. This prevented my patrol car from
continuing to move forward on the tracks inside the carwash. Before an employee was able to stop the
carwash the rear end of my patrol car was struck by the front end of another vehicle (white colored 2018
Toyota 4Runner with Washington state license plate BMC2725)that was inside the carwash.
The rear end of my patrol car was not damaged, and the front license plate to the Toyota 4Runner was bent.
No one was injured and both vehicles were drivable. Sgt.J.Trader was notified and responded to the scene.
A city of Renton Origami report was completed at the time of the collision. I was recently notified a report
needed to be completed in Aegis, and it is now being submitted.
