Unless otherwise noted, the following happened within the City Limits of Renton, County of
King, State of Washington.
On 12/04/25 at approximately 1819 hours I was dispatched to a hit and run that occurred r ear
Lind Ave SW and SW 10th St. The victim,Abdul N. Sedigi (01/01/77), was driving a 2024 Toyota
Rav4 WA/CPB5198. His son who was with him translated for me what had happened.
He said he was in lane 1 on Lind Ave SW driving south towards SW 10th St.The driver of a b lue
2010 Smartcar ForTwo WA/BEC3188 was next to them in lane 2.The Smartcar then tried
merging into lane 1 and struck the front passenger side of the Rav4. All parties stopped and got
out of their cars.Abdul's son took a video on his phone to get the license plate of the Smartcar.
In the video his son can be heard asking the other driver if they have insurance and the other
driver responds no. Abdul's son then asked him to pull into the parking lot of Drake Law Offices
at 415 SW 10th St and wait for the police.They said that the to other driver pulled in the parking
Lot and then continued through the lot before turning west on SW 10th St.The other driver
originally stopped but made no attempt to exchange information before leaving the scene.
They described the other driver as a black male in his mid 20s to mid 30s about 5'11"tall ith
Long dark hair.The RO of the Smartcar is a white female.Abdul did want to press charges for hit
and run and was willing to assist with prosecution. I provided Abdul with my business card and
the case number.
If the driver of the Smartcar can be identified there is probable cause for RCW 46.52.020 D ity on
striking attended car or other property for striking Abdul's vehicle and then leaving without
exchanging information.
