On 12/08/2025 at approximately 1719 hours, I was dispatched to the intersection of Powel Ave SW and
SW Grady Way in the City of Renton, County of King, State of Washington for a hit and run accident with
no injuries.
Upon arrival I contacted unit 2 driver Joshua Rosales(DOB 02/23/2002) driving his gray 2016 Lexus ES
(CUS2112/WA)VIN/JTHBW1 GG2G2120959.
Unit 1 was identified by a trailer license plate being pulled by a semi-truck. Unknown driver description or
truck description. The license plate(6915ZB/WA) registered on a silver 1997 Pratt trailer.The trailer is
registered to a Yohannes Gesesew Haile (DOB 05/25/1956).
Unit 2 stated he was heading west on SW Grady Way and had been stopped at the SW Grady Way and
Powel Ave SW traffic signal. Unit 1 was directly in front of unit 2 and had begun rolling backwards toward
unit 2. Unit 2 began honking his horn to try and get the drivers attention.The trailer continued rolling
backwards and collided int the front diver side bumper. The damage caused a whole in the bumper and
is estimated under$1000.
Unit 2 was not able to see the driver and was unaware if unit 1 was aware his trailer had backed into unit
2.
1 provided Joshua with a case number.
This incident was captured on my body worn camera. This report is a summary of the events that
occurred and is not an exact sequencing of events. Statements have been paraphrased and
summarized
