RE: Proposed Fence Falcon Ridge Lift Station
The Renton Wastewater Utility is proposing the replacement of the Falcon Ridge Lift Station. As part of
the new station construction, we are proposing the installation of a 6-foot tall chain link fence. The
fence will be black vinyl coated.
The station is being built on undeveloped (wooded) City parks property at the end of a private road.
(There is not public right-of-way in the vicinity.) It is the goal of the project to utilize as little of the park
property as possible and to leave / restore the surrounding area in its natural wooded form.
We are proposing the dark coated chain link for two reasons. One is to allow open view onto the sight
while providing security. The second is that the open mesh will allow the fence to blend into the
wooded background.
The fence would not be out of place for the surrounding area. The existing station has a chain link
fence that will be removed. The adjacent property to the south and west is an RV storage area
belonging to the homeowners association that is enclosed by a chain link fence.
The front (westerly) side of the fence will be along the property line. This property line is at the end of
and perpendicular to the private roadway. There are not any sidewalks in the vicinity. There is not any
impact to vehicular or pedestrian traffic.
