On 12-12-2025 at approximately 2213 hours I was dispatched to Ikea located at 601 SW 41st St in the City of
Renton, County of King, State of Washington to a hit and run report.The report was initially started as a phone
report. However,when I contacted the reporting party,they advised they were still at the location.
I responded to Ikea and spoke with the reporting party/registered owner of the vehicle, identified by her
WADL as Monserrath G. Mondaca Sanchez (DOB 03-22-2005), in row G. Utilizing a Spanish interpreter from
Language Line Solutions, she advised she last saw her vehicle, 2017 Honda Accord with WA plate#CPM6243,
undamaged in the Ikea parking lot at approximately 1700 hours. She had gone into the store and returned at
approximately 2045-2050 hours and noticed the damage to her front bumper. She was not sure of the dollar
amount of the damage. She did not know who struck her car and no note was left on her vehicle indicating an
exchange of information. No one was in her vehicle at the time of the collision.
I took photos of the damage to the front bumper of Mondaca Sanchez's vehicle.
At this time, Mondaca Sanchez does not wish to assist with prosecution for the crime of hit and run.
I observed a camera on the south side of the parking lot as well as a camera on the southeast side of the Ikea
building. It is unknown if the cameras would've captured the collision. I did not attempt to contact store
employees regarding possible security footage as the store appeared closed.
During this incident, I was equipped with a body-worn camera,which records both audio and video.This
report is merely a summary of the incident and is not intended to be an exact transcription of the entire
investigation or what may have been captured with the recording system.
