Case 25-80892
Unless otherwise noted, all events took place in the City of Renton, in the County of King, in the
State of Washington.
This incident was captured on my body worn video camera and in-car cameras. This report is a
summary of events that occurred and is not necessarily an exact sequencing of events.
On 12/20/2025 at approximately 1303 hours, I was dispatched to a report of a two-vehicle
collision near the intersection of Talbot Rd S. and S Grady Way. Both parties had originally pulled
into the ARCO AMPM parking lot located at 710 S Grady Way. Shortly after, dispatch advised that
both parties left the scene of the collision.
I contacted the reporting via phone, and he identified himself as Michael C. Mitchell DOB
11/22/1989 (verified WADL). Michael reported that he was traveling eastbound on S Grady Way
in the#2 lane, in a white 2019 Dodge Durango bearing WA LIC/CNV5122. He stated that a blue
Honda Civic bearing WA LIC/A8793605 was traveling eastbound in the#1 lane in the same
direction.
Michael advised that another vehicle entered the Honda Civic's lane, causing the driver to
abruptly change into the#2 lane directly in front of Michaels vehicle and immediately apply the
brakes. Michael was unable to stop in time and collided with the rear of the Honda Civic.
Michael reported that both vehicles pulled into the ARCO AM/PM parking lot,where they began
exchanging information. Michael stated that the driver of the Honda Civic, showed him his WA
Driver's License.The driver of the Honda Civic was identified as Abdikarim A. Mohamed DOB
10/07/2006 (verified WADL). Michael took a photo of Abdikarim's license, but he did not provide
proof of insurance.Abdikarim advised Michael that he had State Farm Insurance and that his
mother was in possession of the policy number. Michael stated that Abdikarim then left the
scene shortly thereafter.
I requested Kent Police Department to conduct an address check at the listed DOL address for
Abdikarim, but the vehicle was not at the location.

At the time of this report, Michael advised that he did not wish to pursue charges and wanted to
contact State Farm to verify that Abdikarim had a current insurance policy.
I provided Michael with a case number for his reference.
