The following occurred in the City of Renton, King County, Washington unless otherwise stated.
During this incident 1 was equipped with body-worn camera which records both audio and video.
Portions of the incident were recorded. This report is merely a summary of the incident and is not
intended to be an exact transcription of the entire investigation or what may have been captured
with the recording system. During this incident I was wearing a department issued uniform or jump
suit and outer carrier vest which was marked with "Police"both on the front, back, and
department patches on each shoulder of the uniform or jumpsuit, as well as a Renton Police Velcro
badge on my►eft chest. It would be immediately obvious to any reasonable person that I was a
Police Officer.
On 12/22/2025 at 1942 hours I was dispatched to a hit and run report near the intersection of NE 3rd
St and Monterey Dr NE.
Driver 2 stated that she was traveling West on NE 3rd St in the#1 lane. Driver 2 stated that she
reduced her speed due to the prevailing atmospheric conditions (rain, darkness, slick roads). Driver 2
stated that Unit 1 approached from behind in the #1 lane and quickly swerved to the #2 lane to pass
her. Driver 2 stated that upon doing so, Unit 1 got behind another vehicle that was traveling slowly.
Driver 2 stated that Unit 1 merged from the #2 lane to the#1 lane and the rear bumper of Unit 1
collided with the front drivers side bumper of Unit 2, forcing Unit 2 into the curb causing the rear
passenger side wheel of Unit 2 to strike the curb.
Driver 2 stated that they pulled over into the Burger King Parking lot and there were no injuries.
Driver 2 described Driver 1 as a black male, 5'7-8", 130-140lbs, dreads, thin moustache, wearing a
black hoodie and black faded jeans. Driver 2 stated that she would be able to ID Driver 1 is she saw
him again.
Driver 2 stated that when she told Driver 1 she was calling Police, he fled the scene and did not
provide the information required by RCW 46.52.020. Driver 2 did not wish to pursue criminal charges
