Unless otherwise noted, all events took place in the City of Renton, in the County of King, in the State of
Washington.
This report is a summary of events that occurred and is not an exact sequencing of events.
On 12/24/2025 at approximately 2031 hours I was dispatched to a hit and run that occurred at the
intersection of SW Sunset Blvd and Rainier Ave S in the city of Renton, King County, WA.
I contacted the reporting party who had flagged down an officer at 3015 Grady Way.The victim was,
identified by his WADL as Harris, Christopher C DOB 12/27/1995. Harris was driving a silver Mitsubishi
Outlander Sport with WA LIC: BKH9531.
Harris informed me he was sitting at a red light in the right-hand turn lane on SW Sunset Blvd and Rainier Ave
S. He stated he was behind a blue SUV with WA LIC: CSB6793,which returned to a blue Dodge Durango.As
Harris was sitting at the light,the blue Dodge Durango backed up for an unknown reason, hitting Harris in his
front bumper and causing damage to the bumper.
Harris stated the driver then took off south on Rainier Ave S at a high rate of speed. Harris was able to record
the vehicle for a short way before he lost sight.
Damage to Harris's vehicle appeared to be to the front bumper cover only. He was able to drive his vehicle
away from the scene.
Harris was unable to see who was driving the vehicle and whether they were male or female.
Images of the damage were uploaded to Axon.An Axon link was also sent to Harris to upload photos of the
vehicle he took and it's license plate.
If the driver and vehicle that hit Harris can be identified,there is probable cause to arrest them for 46.52.020
duty on striking an attended car or other property(hit and run)for running into Harris's silver Mitsubishi
Outlander Sport with WA LIC: BKH9531 and not stopping to exchange or provide personal information.
