EG62442 CASE# 25-80670 DATE OF COLLI r�510NN + 12/13/25 17:17 L1 NARRATIVE On 12/13/2025 at about 1717 hours, a two motor vehicle collision with minor injuries occurred in the 12700 block of SE 164th St within the city limits of Renton, King County, Washington. Toyota Response called 911 after receiving a crash notification from Unit 2. When I arrived on scene both vehicles were already pulled off to the side of the residential street, and I contacted both drivers. Unit 1: white colored 2008 Ford Econoline van with Washington state license plate D8279213. Driver 1: Pablo A. Casas Unit 2: silver colored 2021 Toyota Prius with Washington state license plate CJC9090. Driver 2: Wenduan N. Qi Driver 2 was headed westbound on SE 164th St (12700 block) when he came to an abrupt stop for a child who ran out into the street in front of his car (Unit 2). Unit 1 was traveling behind Unit 2 and was unable to stop in time before colliding into the rear end of Unit 2. Driver 1 did not see the child in the street, and he was uncertain if a child was involved. Driver 2 said the child ran off after the collision. Unit 1 had damage to the front end of the vehicle, but Driver 1 was uncertain if it was drivable and decided he would contact a private tow. Unit 1 was left parked on the side of the road. Driver 1 was not injured. Driver 1 was given a Renton PD business card with the case number. Unit 2 had damage to the rear end of the vehicle, and Driver 2's daughter came to drive the vehicle from the scene. The front driver side airbag deployed in Unit 2. Driver 2 complained of neck pain, lower back pain, and pain to his left leg. Renton Fire Department Engine 317 responded to the scene and evaluated Driver 2. Driver 2 was transported to the hospital via ambulance due to his high blood pressure levels. Driver 2 was given a Renton PD business card with the case number. I took photographs of both vehicles, and the photographs were uploaded to Axon. It appeared the child running into the street led to Driver 2 coming to an abrupt stop, and Unit 1 may have been following too close to Unit 2 which may have also contributed to the circumstances of the collision.
