ALL WORK SHALL BE COMPLETED AS SHOWN IN THESE PLANS, IN ACCORDANCE WITH CITY OF RENTON STANDARDS, THE MANUAL ON UNIFORM TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES (MUTCD), AND WASHINGTON STATE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION(WSDOT)/AMERICAN PUBLIC WORKS ASSOCIATION (APWA) STANDARDS. 2. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR SECURING ALL NECESSARY PERMITS PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION. 3. A COPY OF THE APPROVED PLANS MUST BE ON THE JOB SITE WHENEVER CONSTRUCTION IS IN PROGRESS. 4. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL CONTACT THE CITY ENGINEER A MINIMUM OF 2 BUSINESS DAYS PRIOR TO STARTING CONSTRUCTION. 5. ALL DAMAGE TO CITY INFRASTRUCTURE CAUSED BY THE CONSTRUCTION SHALL BE REPAIRED BY THE CONTRACTOR AS REQUIRED AND APPROVED BY THE ENGINEER. 6. ANY EXISTING PUBLIC AND PRIVATE FEATURES DAMAGED BY THE CONTRACTOR DURING CONSTRUCTION SHALL BE REPLACED IN —KIND AT THE CONTRACTOR'S EXPENSE PRIOR TO FINAL INSPECTION. 7. STAKING OF ALL IMPROVEMENTS IN THE PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY SHALL BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION AND APPROVED BY THE CITY ENGINEER. 8. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR REFERENCING AND REPLACING ALL MONUMENTS THAT MAY BE DISTURBED, DESTROYED OR REMOVED BY THE PROJECT AND SHALL FILE AN APPLICATION FOR PERMIT TO REMOVE OR DESTROY A SURVEY MONUMENT WITH THE WASHINGTON STATE DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES, PURSUANT TO RCW 58.24.040(8). 9. ANY EXISTING UTILITIES THAT ARE IN SERVICE SHALL REMAIN OPERATIONAL AT ALL TIMES. 10. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL LOCATE AND PROTECT ALL CASTINGS AND UTILITIES WITHIN PROJECT LIMITS DURING CONSTRUCTION. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL CONTACT THE UNDERGROUND UTILITIES LOCATOR SERVICE (1—B00-424-5555) AT LEAST 48 HOURS PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION. IT IS THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR TO VERIFY THE ACCURACY OF ALL UTILITY LOCATIONS SHOWN AND TO FURTHER DISCOVER AND AVOID ANY OTHER UTILITIES NOT SHOWN WHICH MAY BE AFFECTED BY THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THIS PLAN. 11. ALL WORK SHALL BE CONSISTENT WITH UTILITY AGENCY REQUIREMENTS. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL CONTACT UTILITY AGENCIES 48 HOURS PRIOR TO COMMENCING WORK AND SHALL COORDINATE WITH ALL AFFECTED UTILITY AGENCIES THROUGHOUT THE PROJECT. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGE TO EXISTING UTILITIES RESULTING FROM CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL NOTIFY THE AFFECTED UTILITY AGENCY IMMEDIATELY UPON DAMAGE AND SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR REPLACING DAMAGED EQUIPMENT TO THE SATISFACTION OF THE AFFECTED UTILITY AGENCY. 12. INSPECTION AND ACCEPTANCE OF ALL WORK IN THE PUBLIC RIGHT—OF—WAY SHALL BE DONE BY REPRESENTATIVES OF THE CITY. IT SHALL BE THE CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILITY TO COORDINATE AND SCHEDULE APPROPRIATE INSPECTIONS ALLOWING FOR PROPER ADVANCE NOTICE. THE INSPECTOR MAY REQUIRE REMOVAL AND RECONSTRUCTION OF ANY ITEMS PLACED IN THE RIGHT OF WAY THAT DO NOT MEET CITY STANDARDS OR THAT WERE CONSTRUCTED WITHOUT APPROPRIATE INSPECTIONS. 13.
