Unless otherwise noted,the following occurred within the city limits of Renton, county of King, state of
Washington.
On 12/17/2025, 1 was working as a uniformed police officer for the city of Renton.At approximately 1935
hours, I was dispatched to field a hit-and-run accident by phone.Any statements referred to have been
paraphrased and summarized.
I contacted the reporting party,who was the driver of unit 2. He advised that at approximately 1715 hours, his
vehicle was struck by unit 1 from the rear.This happened while he was waiting for the stoplight in lane 3 of 3
on the north end of the intersection of Park Ave N and N 8th St.The other involved driver stopped to
exchange information with him, but they either did not have insurance, or simply did not provide it.
Unit 2's driver provided me with the license plate for unit 1 and a photo of the driver's license for its driver.
Using a law enforcement database, I was able to locate a phone number for the driver. I was able to contact
that individual and he provided me with his insurance information via email the next day.
I provided the driver of unit 2 with an Axon citizen link to upload any photos he captured of the collision,
which he later did.
Nothing further.
