Narrative
During this incident, I was equipped with a body-worn camera, which records both audio and video. Portions
of this incident were recorded. This report is merely a summary of the incident and is not intended to be an
exact transcription of the entire investigation or what may have been captured with the recording system.
was operating a fully marked Police Tahoe#309 which was equipped with overhead emergency lights and
sirens. I was also wearing my department issued Renton Police uniform clearly identifies me as a Police
Officer.
Case Number 25-9311
On 10/27/2025 at approximately 1656 hours I was dispatched to a collision that had occurred near the
intersection of Talbot Rd S and S 177th St, within the City of Renton, King County,Washington.
I identified unit 1 as a 2016 Toyota Sienna (WA/LIC: BAJ4679 VIN#5TDXK3DCXGS727832) which was driven by
Nanette D Samonte (DOB 06/23/1981). 1 identified unit 2 as a 2022 Kia EV6(WA/LIC: CBT7852 VIN#
KNDC3DLC4N5049634)which was drove by Stanley T Leung(DOB 05/07/1974). No injuries were reported, and
both vehicles were able to leave under their own power.
Based on statements from both parties it was determined that unit 2 was on S 177th St, making a left hand
turn to travel northbound on Talbot Rd S. Unit 2 had a green arrow to turn left which granted him the right of
way. Unit 1 was traveling northbound on Talbot Rd S through the aforementioned intersection,failed to stop
for her red light, entered the intersection an caused the collision. Both units sustained minor front end
damage.
The proximate cause of this collision was unit 1 running the red light.
