Unless otherwise noted, the following took place within the city limits of Renton, County of King,
WA.
On 01/15/2026 at approximately_hours, I was dispatched to a non-injury motor vehicle
collision that occurred at the intersection of Harrington Ave NE and NE 7th St.
I arrived and observed a red Acura TL(WA/CTV3716) and a white Chevy Equinox(WA/CNL6980),
on the east side of Harrington Ave NE. I observed the Acura TL's front passenger side pinned
against the open driver's door of the Chevy Equinox.
Both drivers were out of their vehicles,walking around, and appeared uninjured.
I contacted the driver of the Chevy Equinox, identified as Brooklynne E. Smith (06/08/1989), who
was determined to be Unit 1. Brooklynne advised she was parked on the eastside of the roadway
and was exiting her vehicle to pick up her daughter.When she opened her driver's door,that
opened into the roadway, the Acura struck the door.
I observed moderate damage to the body of Unit 1, and moderate damage to the driver's door.
The driver's door was unable to be shut.
I contacted the driver of the Acura TL, identified as Abner D. Flores Reynosa (05/14/1979),who
was determined to be Unit 2.Abner advised he was driving northbound on Harrington Ave NE
when Unit 1 suddenly opened her driver's door, and Abner had minimal time to react which
caused him to strike the door with the front passenger side of his vehicle.
Neither party received citations for the collision, and Bankers Tow picked up Unit 1.
Both parties were given case numbers and an exchange of information.
Nothing further.
