This report is a summary of events that occurred and is not an exact sequencing of events. On 01/18/2026 at approximately 0508 hours I was dispatched to a hit and run that occurred at the in the 1600 block of Shelton Ave NE in the city of Renton, King County,WA. Other officers responding, located a damaged vehicle, a 2019 GMC Sierra 3500 with WA LIC B75686P, in front of 1802 Shelton Ave NE upon their arrival.The vehicle had damage to its front driver side fender and bumper. There was other various plastic trim pieces scattered on the ground and some type of vehicle fluid that led down the street towards the reporting party's address at the dead end of the 1600 block of Shelton Ave NE. I spoke with the reporting party, identified as Myers,Ted A DOB 10/26/1963. He stated he heard a loud crash somewhere in the neighborhood.After calling the crash in, he then drove around and found the same 2019 GMC Sierra we found with damage to its driver side front fender and bumper. I contacted the owner of the truck, identified by his WADL as Lynch, Stanley J DOB 11/17/1944 and confirmed the damage was not previously there. I also confirmed that he did not park his vehicle on the curb, as the passenger side front end was now parked with its tire on top of the curb. Upon inspecting the parts that fell off the suspect vehicle, I was able to determine it was a Subaru of unknown model and color. One of the trim pieces left stated "Subaru" and "LH"for what I believe would mean "left hand" (driver) side. A neighbor, identified by his WADL as Covaci, Rares Alex DOB 05/18/1990, lives at 1710 Shelton Ave NE. provided video that shows a vehicle hitting Stanley's truck at approximately 0502 hours as it drives southbound on Shelton Ave NE.The vehicle then stops in front of Alex's house for about a minute.The driver eventually exits the car, looks at the damage on their car,then gets back in and drives away. No license plate is visible, but the vehicle appears to be a dark grey or black Subaru Crosstrek. Images of the damage were uploaded to Axon along with the video that Alex provided. If the driver and vehicle that hit Stanley's vehicle can be identified,there is probable cause to arrest them for 46.52.010 duty on striking an unattended car or other property(hit and run)for running into his 2019 GMC This incident occurred in the sCity of Renton,King County,Washington State. !declare underpenalty of perjury under the laws of the State of Washington that the foregoing is true and correct.
