I arrived at approximately 0916 hours. UNIT 1: AUDI A4 Upon arrival I observed a black Audi A4 (WA/ CUR4699, Unit 1) stopped in the intersection facing north in the northbound lanes of Rainier Avenue S. Unit 1 had moderate front end damage from the collision. Unit 1 had not been moved from its point of rest. UNIT 2: TOYOTA PRIUS I observed a white Toyota Prius (WA/AWV7823, Unit 2) stopped in the intersection facing west in the westbound lanes of S 4th Place just north of Unit 1. Unit 2 had moderate driver side damage from the collision. Unit 2 had not been moved from its point of rest. DRIVER 1: LOPEZ MARCANO, RENZY E. I contacted Renzy E. Lopez Marcano (DOB: 03/13/1991) standing near Unit 1. 1 positively identified Lopez Marcano by his valid Washington Driver License and established him as the driver of Unit 1 by his admission. Lopez Marcano was not injured in the collision. DRIVER 2: GALIMBA, ROGER H. I contacted Roger H. Galimba (DOB: 08/20/1948) standing near Unit 2. 1 positively identified Galimba by his valid Washington Driver License and established him as the driver of Unit 2 by his admission. Galimba complained of pain to his left leg and was evaluated on scene by the Renton Regional Fire Authority. STATEMENT: GALIMBA, ROGER H. I spoke with Galimba about the collision. The following is a summary of our conversation: Galimba drove Unit 2 west on S 4th Place toward the intersection of Rainier Avenue S to continue straight through the intersection. The traffic signal displayed a solid green, so Galimba drove into the intersection. Unit 1, which drove north on Rainier Avenue S, entered the intersection and collided with Unit 2's driver side. STATEMENT: LOPEZ MARCANO, RENZY E. Officer D. Nelson spoke with Lopez Marcano about the collision. Officer Nelson told me the following about the collision: Lopez Marcano drove Unit 1 north on Rainier Avenue S in the number two lane toward the intersection of S 4th Place. Lopez Marcano had a solid yellow traffic signal so he proceeded into the intersection, colliding with Unit 2. PROXIMATE CAUSE I determined the proximate cause of the collision based on my observation of damage to both vehicles, their points of rest, and statements from both drivers. Lopez Marcano's action was the proximate cause of the collision, namely his violation of RCW 46.61.050(1), which states: "The driver of any vehicle, a person operating a bicycle, and every pedestrian shall obey, and the operation of every personal delivery device shall follow, the instructions of any official traffic control device applicable thereto, and as specified in this chapter, placed in accordance with the provisions of this chapter, unless otherwise directed by a traffic or police officer, subject to the exception granted PAGE 3 OF 5 REPORT No.` EG69399 CASE# 26-460 O COLLI COLLISION TIME OF 01/16/26 09:14 COLLI NARRATIVE the driver of an authorized emergency vehicle in this chapter." CITATION I authored Lopez Marcano a citation (#6A0128824) for the violation of RCW 46.61.050(1) and filed it with the Renton Municipal Court. DISPOSITION This concluded my involvement in this case.
