However, CB #6 is called out as a Type 1 catch basin with an 18” outlet pipe. Should this structure be upsized to a Type 1L? Per City of Renton Standard details 200.00 and 200.10, the maximum height of both a Type1 and a Type1L catch basin can only be 5’ from the rim to the lowest invert. However, CB #1 is greater than 5’. Should this structure be updated to a Type 2, 48” CB? RESPONSE TO RFI: RESPONSE BY: DATE: 3.0 9/26/25 9/29/25 C300 & C200 BEAU Construction completed 4 potholes on Friday, 9/26. All 4 potholes appear to be in conflict with the new designed storm system. On the following sheets, we have provided the pothole locations, pipe types and sizes and elevations for review. Also, what is the plan for the existing storm line that runs out of Existing CB# 3. Please advise on how to move forward with the new storm system installation. We have been directed to continue installation of the 18" Storm up the hill out of CB#6 on Monday 9/29. We are at 155.58 IE heading out of CB#6 at a 6% slope. That will land us somewhere around 163.38 at CB#5. See attached revised sheet C300 which captures the following changes to avoid conflicts with the existing storm connection location as well as existing 8" DI water main. - Relocation of CB1 based on potholing conducted by BEAU Construction and location verified by COR CCTV. - Updated invert information has been provided at CB1 and CB2 to cross under existing 8" DI water main with 6" minimum clearance. - Updated invert information has been provided at CB3 and CB4 which may be treated as minimum depths (inverts may be lowered but not raised beyond updated elevation) please notify engineer if these invert elevations are to be exceeded as pipes are laid out. - If further guidance is needed on adapting CB2 to new pipe connections, please submit additional RFI. - See response on last page regarding pipe removal not previously shown on plans. Any changes in quantities relating to the length of pipe will be paid by existing bid items. Anything beyond will be time and materials and paid on a force account basis. C.
