EG72213 CASE# 25-81119 DATE OF COLLI r�510NN + 12/29/25 09:39 L1 NARRATIVE On December 29, 2025, at approximately 0939 hours, I was dispatched to a non-injury and non- blocking vehicle collision at the intersection of NE 12th St and Kirkland Ave NE, within the City Limits of Renton, County of King, and State of Washington. While on scene, I was able to collect each of the involved party's information and independent summary of the events leading up to the collision. The driver of Unit#1, identified as Ahlam Girgis, stated she was traveling northbound on Kirkland Ave NE at the intersection of NE 12th St. Ahlam stated that she failed to see Unit#2 traveling eastbound through the intersection when she decided to move forward. When she proceeded through the intersection, both vehicles collided roadway. Unit#1 sustained heavy damage to the front bumper, but Ahlam said she did not sustain any juries. The driver of Unit#2, identified as Robert Hintz, said he was accompanied by two other passengers. All the involved parties declined having any injuries, and Robert explained he at the intersection of NE 12th St and Kirkland Ave NE where Unit#1 was approaching. Robert said he was intending to continue east across the intersection. When Robert proceeded forward, Unit#1 failed to yield to his vehicle at the intersection. Robert was unable to avoid the collision and was subsequently struck by Unit#1. Unit#2 sustained damage to the rear right passenger door of Unit#2. After speaking with the two drivers, I checked the roadway and noticed vehicle debris in the eastside of the intersection. Based on my observations, I believe Unit#2 had proceeded more than halfway across the intersection when the collision occurred. It reaffirmed what the two drivers stated. Based on the statements and my observations, I determined that the Driver of Unit#1 (Ahlam) is the proximate cause for the cause of collision as she did not grant the right of way to traffic already in the roadway and underway. She violated RCW 46.61.190(2) as every driver of a vehicle approaching an intersecting roadway shall stop where the driver has a view of approaching traffic on the intersecting roadway before entering the roadway, and after having stopped shall yield the right-of-way to any vehicle in the intersection or approaching on another roadway so closely as to constitute an immediate hazard during the time when such driver is moving across or within the intersection or junction of roadways. I cited Ahlam via mail for Failing to Stop/Yield at an intersection causing a collision. An exchange of information was provided to all involved parties.
