On January 28, 2026, at approximately 1700 hours, I was dispatched to a hit and run collision at NE Sunset
Blvd and Edmonds Ave NE,within the City Limits of Renton, County of King, State of Washington.
Upon contact, I collected the involved parties driving documents and their independent recollection of events
leading up to the collision.
The driver of Unit#2, identified as Mystique C. Demyers (10/11/2000), said she was accompanied by her front
passenger and was traveling eastbound in about the 2500 block of NE Sunset Blvd—just west of the
intersection of Edmonds Ave NE. Mystique stated she had stopped at a red traffic light and created for a gap in
traffic for a vehicle that was exiting the 76 Gas Station.
While waiting, Unit#1 collided with the rear of Unit#2 causing minor damage to the rear of Unit#2.
Mystique's front passenger, identified as Christopher M. Forward (04/17/1999), reported that the driver of
Unit#1 appeared to be a mid-aged black male. Unit#1 was identified as a red sedan, possibly an older Toyota.
I checked Flock but I was unable to locate any vehicles that matched the description given.
Based on the above statements, I determined that the Driver of Unit#1 is the proximate cause for the collision
due to inattention causing a collision.The driver also committed attended hit and run.
I provided Mystique with my contact number and case number.
There is no further suspect information.
Due to the reasons stated above,the case is closed "RTF."
