The following occurred in the City of Renton, King County, Washington unless otherwise stated.
During this incident 1 was equipped with body-worn camera which records both audio and video.
Portions of the incident were recorded. This report is merely a summary of the incident and is not
intended to be an exact transcription of the entire investigation or what may have been captured
with the recording system. During this incident I was wearing a department issued uniform or jump
suit and outer carrier vest which was marked with "Police"both on the front, back, and
department patches on each shoulder of the uniform or jumpsuit, as well as a Renton Police Velcro
badge on my►eft chest. It would be immediately obvious to any reasonable person that I was a
Police Officer.
On 1/29/2026 at 1541 hours I was dispatched to a hit and run collision report that occurred at the
intersection of N 8th St and Logan Ave N at around 1520 hours.
The victim, identified as Kevin T. Davis (DOB: 11/14/2003), stated that he was driving South on Logan
Ave N facing the intersection of N 8th St. Davis stated that he was in the #2 lane of travel driving his
black 2012 Chevrolet Impala (WA LP: BLG7572), Unit 2, proceeding straight ahead. Davis stated that
the suspect vehicle in this incident was a red sedan, and will be referred to as Unit 1.
Davis stated that as he proceeded straight ahead, Unit 1 was in the lefthand turn lane facing South.
Davis stated that Unit 1 proceeded straight through the intersection and merged in front of him,
against the posted signage at that intersection and in violation of RCW 46.61.050. Davis stated that
upon doing so, the rear portion of Unit 1 collided with the front drivers side quarter panel and door
of Unit 2.
Davis stated that Unit 1 then left the area Southbound and did not attempt to stop to provide
information.
Davis stated that he does not wish to pursue criminal charges at this time.
This incident occurred in the sCity of Renton,King County,Washington State.
