Narrative
On 02/01/2026 at 1240 hours I was dispatched to 800 SW 16th St, in the City of Renton, King County,
Washington. I was responding to a report of a vehicle collision.
While en route, dispatch advised the following: single vehicle into a pole. Driver complaining of bloody nose.
At approximately 1249 hours, I arrived on scene and found the vehicle, a gray Toyota Camry(WA/CNH5639)
up on the sidewalk.The vehicle struck a wooden utility pole and sustained damage to the front driver side
bumper and quarterpanel area.There did not appear to be damage to the utility pole.The driver was
identified by WA DL as Pui K. Ng (DOB 11/09/1991). She stated she was driving eastbound on SW 16th St and
intended to turn right at the roundabout at Powell Ave SW. She either missed her brake, her brake wasn't
working, or she accidentally hit the gas.The exact details were unclear due to language barrier. In any case,
she failed to navigate the turn and hit the pole. Her airbags did not deploy and it appears her face hit the
steering wheel, as she had a bloody nose and a bruise forming on her forehead.
Ng was evaluated and cleared by Renton Fire on scene. She declined transport to VMC. Ng's son,
approximately 4 years old,was in the backseat in a car seat. He was not injured.
Ng said her friend called a tow truck for her and she did not need one from PD.
She provided proof of State Farm insurance, policy 570 8247 E14 47, expiring 05/14/2026.
1 provided her a case number and left the scene.
