This report is a summary of events that occurred and is not an exact sequencing of events.
Statements have been paraphrased and summarized.
On 01/16/2026 at approximately 1402 hours, myself, Officer R. Watson, was dispatched to an
accident with no injuries and non-blocking, at the intersection of Rainier AVE S and S 3rd ST, within
the City Limits of Renton, County of King, State of Washington.
Dispatch notes stated that there were two vehicles involved, there were no injuries, and they were
non-blocking.
When I arrived on scene, I observed a black sedan and white SUV stopped in the number 2 lane,
facing northbound.
Unit# 1, driven by Nicholas C. Daughtry (DOB 09/13/2006) verified by WA DOL photo, stated he as
driving a Black 2012 Honda Accord, WA plate CSK0027. There were no other occupants in the
vehicle. Nicholas said that he was looking down and when he looked up, unit#2 was stopped for
traffic. He said he applied his brakes but was unable to stop in time. Nicholas said he was not injured
and declined aid. When I asked for Nicholas' license, registration and insurance, he was able to
provide me with his license and registration. He said he did not have insurance on the vehicle. A
check of Nicholas' license also showed that it was suspended in the 3rd degree. Unit#1 had
significant damage to the front of the vehicle, no airbag deployment and was towed from the scene by
Bankers Towing.
Unit#2 driven by Mohammad N. Staniczai (DOB 01/01/1988) verified by WA DOL photo, stated that
he was driving a White 2023 Toyota Highlander, WA plate CFX4884. There were no other occupants
in the vehicle. Mohammad stated that he was stopped for traffic, northbound on Rainier AVE S in the
number two lane when unit#1 collided with the rear of his vehicle. Mohammad said he was not injured
and declined aid. When I asked for Mohammads license, registration and insurance he was able to
provide me with all documents. Unit#2 had rear right-side damage, no airbag deployment and was
able to be driven from the scene.
Traffic control personnel on scene said that unit#2 was stopped for traffic when unit#1 collided with
the rear of it. Traffic control personnel did not identify themselves.
An exchange of information was completed and provided to each party. Pictures were uploaded to
evidence.com and two citations were sent to the Renton Prosecutors Office for the driver of unit#1,
citation # 6AO058545 (DWLS 3rd), and 6AO058546 (no insurance).
