Pierce Ave NE will be getting a sidewalk and the road will be widened. The road standards were recently updated and the applicant is requesting a modification of the new standards to match the lot just south of the project. That lot was approved under a previous street standard so the applicant is saying they are asking for a reduction to make the street look the same along the two projects. As for road closures, any full road closure over 24 hours needs council approval so they are in the agenda for city council in the Administrative Report. The City also has a Traffic Alerts page to help people keep up to date. If you do not see the closure you are concerned about, please feel free to reach out to developmentengineering@rentonwa.gov, they can assist you with any additional road closure questions. If you have any more questions about the Y&C2 Short Plat, let me know. Wragge <AWragge@rentonwa.gov> Subject: Questions on Y&C 2 Short Plat/LUA25-000402, SHPL-A, MOD;PR25-000082 Ashley, I live at 1115 Pierce Ave NE and am affected by this project on my street. I have a couple questions about the above project: 1. Will Pierce Avenue NE between 11th and 12th be widened to match the current street, with a sidewalk. The owner had requested a reduction in right-of-way to complete the street. 2. Currently this week Dec1-5 Pierce Ave NE has been blocked to thru traffic, I am wondering if we can receive information about other projects in the future that will be blocking our street. Many of us on my block have lived in our homes for many years, we are all happy to have this property developed, and the trees removed. CAUTION: This email originated from outside the City of Renton. To assure you that improvements will be made, the project proposal includes Pierce Ave NE right-of-way being widened and improved. The project proposal includes a 23’ dedication. The road standards were recently updated to 60 feet and the applicant is requesting a modification from the new standards to match the lot just south of the project. That lot was approved under a previous street standard, so the applicant is asking for a reduction to make the street look the same along the two projects. In essence, the proposal includes the road being improved from its currently condition, but the applicant is requesting to make the road improvements match the impending improvements of an adjacent lot, which is a modification from our current standards. If you have further questions or comments about the Y&C2 Short Plat, let me know.
