NARRATIVE
26-00736
This report is a summary of events that occurred and is not an exact sequencing of events.
Statements have been paraphrased and summarized.
On 01/26/2026 at approximately 1543 hours, myself, Officer R. Watson, on viewed a collision, at the
intersection of Park AVE N and N 3rd ST, within the City Limits of Renton, County of King, State of
Washington.
As I arrived on scene, I saw a white SUV and a red sedan blocking the two northbound lanes of Park
AVE N.
Unit# 1, driven by Kayla Q. Beturney (DOB 05/12/2009) verified by WA DOL photo, stated she was
driving a White 2015 Lexus NX, WA plate AUW4147. There were three other female passengers in
the vehicle who were not identified. Kayla said that she was traveling southbound on Park AVE N in
the number 2 lane when she made a left-hand turn onto N 3rd ST eastbound when she noticed a
vehicle coming towards her and collided with unit#2. Kayla said she had a green light but not the
green arrow. Kayla and her three passengers all said that they were not injured and declined aid.
When I asked for Kayla's license, registration and insurance, she was able to provide me with all
required documentation. Unit#1 had moderate damage to the front right side of the vehicle, no airbag
deployment and was towed from the scene by Bankers Towing.
Unit#2 driven by Beersabe S. Lucas (DOB 01/24/2004) verified by WA DOL photo, stating she was
driving a Red 2011 Toyota Prius, WA plate AUF6747. There was one other passenger in the vehicle
who was not identified but Beersabe said was her sister. Beersabe said that she was going straight
on Park AVE N northbound in the number 2 lane when she saw the light at the intersection was green
and continued through the intersection when unit#1 pulled into the intersection and she collided with
them. Beersabe and her passenger both said they were not injured and declined aid. When I asked
for Beersabe's license, registration and insurance, she was able to provide me with all required
documentation. Unit#2 had significant front-end damage, airbag deployment and was towed from the
scene by Bankers Towing.
There was also an independent witness, Jeanelle J. Vreeken (DOB 05/16/1967) verified by WA DOL
photo, who stated that she driving behind unit#1. She said that unit#1 was traveling southbound on
Park AVE N and when it approached the intersection of N 3rd ST she did not have a green arrow
giving her the right of way and pulled right in front of unit#2.
Based on the facts given by both parties the proximate cause of the collision was unit#1 not granting
the right of way to unit#2 at the intersection.
An exchange of information was completed and provided to each party.
