Dear Alex,
I am writing to formally express my strong opposition to Project LUA25-000364 property address
4108 Jones Ave NE Renton, WA. After reviewing the proposed project, I have serious concerns that
compel me to object, based on its environmental impact, the integrity and compliance of the project,
and the significant traffic impacts it will create – all of which directly affect me and two properties
located adjacent.
First, I am deeply concerned about the environmental impact of this project, particularly its effect on
surrounding wildlife and natural habitats. The proposed development appears likely to disrupt
established ecosystems, displace wildlife, and negatively affect the environmental balance of the
area. Between all of the other housing and the I405 expansion, wildlife has been deeply affected.
These impacts are not minor and should be carefully reconsidered before any approvals are granted.
Second, I have concerns regarding the overall integrity of the project and whether the property
owners are conducting the development properly and in full compliance with City of Renton permitting
requirements. It is critical that all permits, reviews, and conditions are strictly followed to ensure
transparency, accountability, and public trust. Any deviation from proper procedures raises serious
red flags and should not be overlooked. The owners have removed multiple trees in the past several
years (I would surmise without proper permitting) that greatly impacted the view, sound and privacy of
my condo. I can see their parking lot and observe everything from my windows and deck. My property
is seeing settling damage in the ceilings due to the many other projects in this area. What systems
are in place to ensure my condos will not be more negatively impacted?
They are operating a mosque out of the property. I know this as a fact due to my neighbor leaving for
service (his words) and my ability to watch him pull into the property. They will have anywhere from
50-80 vehicles at times. I have videoed this from my phone because it is so significant. In fact, I
added a camera system to my back deck as it was so odd to have that amount of traffic at all the odd
hours. They have a person that sits at the entrance inside the fence and will direct the vehicles. I
have seen this at least 100 times in the last couple of years. They will have late night (after 11pm)
bonfires on property to the point that I purchased a spotlight to let them know they are disrupting
those that reside around them. My roommate has literally screamed at them to tone it down during
these late-night celebrations. To say that they are not 'neighborly' is an understatement. In fact, police
have been called to the neighbor’s home after one of their late night celebrations in the past with all of
their friends creating noise in the parking lot of our residence.

Third, traffic impacts are a major concern. The project will increase the number of vehicles entering
and exiting the property, adding congestion, increasing noise, and creating potential safety hazards.
This will directly impact me by affecting access, traffic flow, and overall safety in the area. The
cumulative effect of increased vehicle traffic has not been adequately addressed and poses a real
and ongoing burden to nearby residents. I personally have been almost hit by the drivers entering and
leaving that property on multiple occasions. I use that road for riding bicycles and my motorcycle.
They have absolute and complete disregard for other members of the community. They speed and
are generally unobservant to traffic laws. The roadway is not designed for the amount of traffic this
project will bring.
In summary, this project presents environmental risks, raises concerns about compliance and
oversight, and creates traffic impacts that will negatively affect my quality of life. For these reasons, I
strongly urge the City of Renton to reconsider, deny, or significantly modify Project LUA25-000364.
