DLState DLExp Address Primary Phone&Type AdditionalContact Number&Type Additional Contact Number&Type Race Sex DOB- Height Weight Even Hair Collision 2026-00001240 Paqe 2 OF 4 Case Number 2026-00001240 Officer Narrative Narrative On 02/13/2026, 1 was working uniformed patrol in a marked police car as 3R23.At approximately 0401 hours, I was dispatched to a non-injury collision at the intersection of Talbot Rd S/S 43rd St, which is located within the city limits of Renton, County of King, Washington. Dispatch advised that the caller reported an accident at the intersection and was now at the nearby hospital(Valley Medical Center)with the other involved vehicle for contact. When I arrived at the location, I was able to identify both involved vehicles and their sole drivers as listed above. I spoke to Unit 2 first. He had difficulty explaining his direction of travel to me. He was able to mention that he was coming from the Seattle area and was turning from the stop light (motioning toward the Talbot Rd S/S 43rd St intersection)to head northbound onto Talbot Rd S. He then mentioned that Unit 1 struck him. I took a look around Unit 2. 1 saw that part of his front driver's side bumper was missing. I also saw that no airbags had been deployed inside his vehicle. The driver and sole occupant of Unit 2 reported no injuries. He also mentioned that he was wearing his seatbelt during the time of the collision. The driver of Unit 2 mentioned he had dash camera footage, but had no access at this time. He also mentioned that the vehicle was his nephew's vehicle. I was then able to speak to the driver of Unit 1. He explained the following: The driver of Unit 1 stated he was in the northbound lanes of Talbot Rd S just south of S 43rd St, preparing to turn westbound on S 43rd St to head down the hill.The driver stated he had the green light and began his westbound turn. He mentioned that he saw Unit 2 in the eastbound Lanes of S 43rd St preparing to turn northbound onto Talbot Rd S with a red light. Unit 1 admitted that he struck the front end of Unit 2 as he was turning and while Unit 2 was waiting at his light. I took a look around Unit 1. 1 saw that his front driver's side bumper was dented slightly. I also saw that no airbags had been deployed inside his vehicle. This incident occurred in the sCity of Renton,King County,Washington State. !declare underpenalty of perjury under the laws of the State of Washington that the foregoing is true and correct. He also mentioned that he was wearing his seatbelt during the time of the collision. The driver of Unit 1 mentioned he did not have a dash camera. Both vehicles were drivable and left the location under their own power. I provided both drivers with a Renton PD business card with the associated case number for their records. I went back to the Renton PD station and noticed that there was traffic camera footage at the intersection. The video depicted the following: The camera faces westbound at the intersection and captured the collision. Northbound Talbot Rd S at S 43rd St had a green light, and Unit 1 had begun his westbound turn onto S 43rd St. Unit 2 can be seen on eastbound S 43rd St in the northbound Talbot Rd S turn Lane waiting. Unit 1's turn was narrow and struck the front end of Unit 2. 1 uploaded the traffic camera footage video to Evidence.com to be added to the case file. Based on the totality of circumstances, Unit 1 appears to be the proximate cause of the collision. This concludes my report.
