THE CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR INLET PROTECTION/SEDIMENT CONTROL AND CLEANING AROUND EACH BIOFILTRATION SYSTEM TYPE D UNIT. 3. THE UNIT SHALL BE PLACED ON A COMPACTED SUB -GRADE WITH A MINIMUM 6-INCH CSTC. COMPACT UNDISTURBED SUB -GRADE MATERIALS TO 95% OF MAXIMUM DENSITY AT +1 TO 2% OF OPTIMUM MOISTURE. UNSUITABLE MATERIAL BELOW SUB -GRADE SHALL BE REPLACED TO THE ENGINEER'S APPROVAL. 4. BIOFILTRATION SYSTEM TYPE D SHALL CONSIST OF PRE -CAST VAULT WITH BIOFILTRATION MEDIA, OUTLET CHAMBER AND AN INTERNAL FLOW BYPASS SYSTEM. THE TREATMENT SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH DESIGN DATA AND INFORMATION CONTAINED IN THIS DRAWING AND THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS. CONTRACTOR TO CONFIRM TREATMENT SYSTEM MEETS REQUIREMENTS OF THE PROJECT. 5. BIOFILTRATION SYSTEM TYPE D SHALL HAVE GENERAL USE LEVEL DESIGNATION (GULD) AND CERTIFICATION FROM THE WASHINGTON STATE DEPARTMENT OF ECOLOGY FOR BASIC AND METALS TREATMENT. 6. MANUFACTURER TO PROVIDE ALL MATERIALS UNLESS NOTED OTHERWISE. 7. FOR FABRICATION DRAWINGS WITH DETAILED STRUCTURE DIMENSIONS, WEIGHTS, AND ACCESSORIES, CONTACT MANUFACTURER. 8. CONTRACTOR TO PROVIDE ALL LABOR, EQUIPMENT, MATERIALS AND INCIDENTALS REQUIRED TO OFFLOAD AND INSTALL THE SYSTEM AND APPURTENANCES IN ACCORDANCE WITH THIS DRAWING AND THE MANUFACTURER'S SPECIFICATIONS, UNLESS OTHERWISE STATES IN MANUFACTURER'S CONTRACT.
