THE IRRIGATION SYSTEM IS DESIGNED TO OPERATE AT WATER ` PRESSURE OF 70 PSI MINIMUM AT THE POINTS OF CONNECTION (IRRIGATION WATER METER), AND A MAXIMUM FLOW DEMAND OF 40 GPM. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY PRESSURE PRIOR TO INSTALLATION OF IRRIGATION EQUIPMENT. IF THERE IS A DISCREPANCY, THE IRRIGATION CONTRACTOR SHALL NOTIFY THE RESIDENT ENGINEER, IMMEDIATELY, IN WRITING SO ADJUSTMENTS CAN BE MADE. 2. A PRESSURE REGULATING VALVE SHALL BE INSTALLED IF THE STATIC SERVICE PRESSURE EXCEEDS EIGHTY (80) POUNDS PER SQUARE INCH (PSI) AT THE POINT OF CONNECTION. THE PRESSURE REGULATING VALVE SHALL BE LOCATED BETWEEN THE LANDSCAPE WATER METER AND THE FIRST POINT OF WATER USE AND SHALL BE SET AT THE MANUFACTURER'S RECOMMENDED PRESSURE FOR SPRINKLERS. 3. AT RAINIER AVE & HARDIE AVE, NEW IRRIGATION IS INTENDED TO CONNECT TO AND MODIFY THE EXISTING SYSTEM IN THE MEDIAN ISLANDS AND PLANTER STRIPS. AS BUILT INFORMATION IS NOT AVAILABLE, SO CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY LOCATIONS OF HEADS, PIPES AND EQUIPMENT OF THE EXISTING SYSTEM. WHEN ADDING HEADS TO AN EXISTING CIRCUIT, USE NEW HEADS THAT MATCH EXISTING. WIRE NEW VALVES TO THE EXISTING CONTROLLER. CONTRACTOR TO COORDINATE ANY SHUTOFF OR REVISION OF THE EXISTING SYSTEM MINIMUM 3 DAYS PRIOR WITH CITY PARKS DEPARTMENT AND CITY PROJECT MANAGER. 4. PLANS ARE DIAGRAMMATIC. INSTALL PIPES IN PLANTING AREAS UNLESS A SLEEVE IS REQUIRED TO CROSS UNDER PAVEMENT. 5. ALL DIMENSIONS, QUANTITIES AND MATERIALS SHALL BE VERIFIED BY IRRIGATION CONTRACTOR. CONTRACTOR SHALL INSTALL ADDITIONAL HEADS, AS NEEDED, TO PROVIDE ADEQUATE COVERAGE AT NO ADDITIONAL COST TO THE OWNER. 6. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL NOT WILLFULLY INSTALL IRRIGATION AS SHOWN ON THE PLANS WHEN IT IS OBVIOUS IN THE FIELD THAT EXISTING OBSTRUCTIONS, GRADE DIFFERENCES OR DIFFERENCES IN SITE DIMENSIONS MAY NOT HAVE BEEN FORESEEN AND CONSIDERED IN THE DESIGN. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL NOTIFY THE RESIDENT ENGINEER IF SUCH OBSTRUCTIONS AND DIFFERENCES OCCUR. IN THE EVENT THAT NOTIFICATION IS NOT GIVEN THE CONTRACTOR ASSUMES FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR ALL NECESSARY CHANGES AT THE CONTRACTOR'S EXPENSE. 7. SLEEVES: A. ALL PIPING AND 24 VOLT WIRING PASSING UNDER PAVING OR WALLS SHALL BE SLEEVED. B. THE IRRIGATION CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR COORDINATION WITH THE PAVING CONTRACTOR FOR INSTALLATION OF SLEEVES. C. THE IRRIGATION CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR INSTALLATION OF WIRE CONDUITS FROM THE CONTROLLER TO THE MAINLINE LOCATION. 8. REMOTE CONTROL VALVES AND QUICK COUPLER VALVES SHALL BE INSTALLED ADJACENT TO WALKS OR PAVING. 9.
