On 2-15-26 around 1209hrs I dispatched to a hit and run near the intersection of NE 4th St/Union Ave NE,
Renton, King Co,WA. Initial information was unit 2, BQX0974/WA, had been struck from behind by unit 1,
CCX1954/WA,then continued south on Union Ave NE.
I contacted the driver and RO of unit 2, Chase W Reeves 6-8-95,who advised the following. Reeves was driving
south on Union Ave NE approaching NE 4th St. She observed unit 2 behind her swerving in and out of traffic
and recklessly passing other vehicles. Reeves stopped at the red light at NE 4th St where unit 1 rearended unit
2. Reeves pulled to the west side of the road to attempt an information exchange. Initially, unit 1 looked as
though it was going to pull over. However, unit 1 then continued southbound on Union Ave NE through a red
light.
Reeves described the driver of unit 1 as a Hispanic male, 20's, with long black hair, and a black beanie.The
passenger of the vehicle was described as an Asian or Hispanic male.The suspect vehicle was described as an
older dark red sedan which matches the DOL return of a 2013 Red Toyota Prius.
Unit 1 is registered to an Asian female out of Seattle. Based on the suspect description and the suspect's
described driving, I requested SPD check the registered address for the vehicle as it may be stolen. I have not
been contacted by SPD as of this report.
Reeves advised she was uninjured and declined medical aid. Unit 2 was drivable, and I observed only minor
scratches on the rear bumper.
Reeves advised there was dashcam footage of the incident and I sent an AXON link for upload.
Should the driver be identified there is PC for Hit and Run Attended.
