Hi Evan,
If the log is above the OHWM, it is not on State Owned Aquatics Land, and it does not need an authorization
from DNR.

I brought this up with our policy folks. Installing gravel will not be authorized.
The restoration of the site included regrading as well as placement of rock material, pea gravel, and a
sand gravel mix along the shoreline.
The process of restoration will take time, as natural aquatic vegetation becomes established and aquatic
animals and fish begin to colonize and utilize the Barbee Mill Beach. Disturbance during this time could
endanger the success of the restoration.

The gravel would be placed along the shoreline waterward of the OHWM. I have attached a sketch showing the area.

Attached is a schematic showing proposed changes to the shoreline at 4163 Williams Ave N at Barbee Mill in
Renton. I believe that the shoreline along the site is a DNR withdrawal zone. Please let me know if they would be
able to install the stairs below the OHWM as shown on the schematic.
