THE LOCATIONS AND ELEVATIONS OF TECHNOLOGY DEVICES SHOWN ON THESE DRAWINGS ARE SCHEMATIC UNLESS ACTUAL DIMENSIONS ARE SHOWN ON THE DRAWINGS. REFER TO THE ARCHITECTURAL PLANS AND OBTAIN THE APPROVAL OF THE ARCHITECT FOR THE ACTUAL LOCATIONS AND ELEVATIONS OF ALL DEVICES. 2. CONTRACTOR MUST ENSURE THAT ALL MOUNTING HEIGHTS COMPLY WITH CURRENT ADA REQUIREMENTS. 3. ABOVE COUNTER DEVICES MUST BE MOUNTED 8" ABOVE COUNTER OR A MAXIMUM OF 44" AFF (TO TOP OF DEVICE). 4. PROVIDE SUPPORTS AND ANCHORING FOR PIPING, CONDUIT, DUCTS, EQUIPMENT, AND OTHER NON-STRUCTURAL ELEMENTS. SEE SPECIFICATIONS FOR ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS. 5. FIRESTOPPING: ALL PENETRATIONS THROUGH RATED WALLS AND FLOORS AND CONDUIT/SLEEVE OPENINGS MUST BE SEALED WITH UL LISTED MATERIAL CAPABLE OF PREVENTING THE PASSAGE OF FLAMES, HOT GASSES AND SMOKE WHEN SUBJECTED TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE TEST STANDARD SPECIFIC FOR APPLICABLE CODES. 6. ALL COMMUNICATIONS CONDUIT, CABLE TRAYS, LADDER RACKS AND EQUIPMENT RACKS MUST BE BONDED TO BUILDING GROUND SYSTEM PER NEC 250 AND ANSI/TIA-607-E.1. 7. LABEL ALL CLOSETS, RACKS, FRAMES, CABINETS, TERMINATION BLOCKS, CABLES, TERMINATIONS, RACEWAYS, ETC. IN ACCORDANCE WITH ANSI/TIA-606-E. 8. ALL COMMUNICATIONS RACEWAYS AND PATHWAYS MUST BE INSTALLED TO MINIMIZE UNNECESSARY CABLE LENGTHS AND MAINTAIN INDUSTRY STANDARD LENGTH LIMITATIONS FOR HORIZONTAL CABLE DISTRIBUTION (E.G CAT.6). BASIC LINK CABLE LENGTH MUST NOT EXCEED 295 FT (90M) FOR UTP CABLE, 150 FT (45M) FOR SERIES-6 COAXIAL CABLE. 9. ALL COMMUNICATIONS CABLE MUST BE PLENUM RATED (CMP), RISER RATED (CMR) AND UNDERGROUND RATED (WATERBLOCK) ACCORDING TO USE AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS. 10. PROVIDE PROTECTIVE BUSHINGS ON ALL COMMUNICATIONS CONDUITS AND WHERE CABLING ROUTES THROUGH METAL STUDS. 11. ALL NON -ARMORED FIBER OPTIC CABLE MUST BE INSTALLED IN APPROVED INNERDUCT. 12. ALWAYS INSTALL LOW -VOLTAGE CABLES IN CONDUITS, CABLE TRAYS, WIREWAYS OR OTHER APPROVED CABLE MANAGEMENT DEVICES OR SYSTEMS. NEVER INSTALL CABLES IN SUCH A MANNER THAT THEY ARE SUPPORTED BY CEILING SYSTEMS (CEILING TILE OR GRID, GYPSUM BOARD, LATH & PLASTER), HVAC DUCTS OR PIPES, LIGHTING FIXTURES, ELECTRICAL CONDUITS OR CABLES, PLUMBING/FIRE PROTECTION PIPES, OR ANY OTHER DEVICES NOT INTENDED FOR THE SUPPORT OF LOW -VOLTAGE CABLING. 13. EXPOSED LOW -VOLTAGE CABLES MUST NOT BE PAINTED. ANY PAINTED CABLES MUST BE REMOVED AND REPLACED WITH NEW CABLES. 14. PROVIDE WEATHERPROOF, IN -USE COVER FOR EXTERIOR DATA DEVICES. 15. ALL CABLE TRAY MOUNTING HEIGHTS INDICATED ON FLOOR PLANS ARE TO THE BOTTOM OF CABLE TRAY SUPPORTS. 16. SEISMIC BRACING FOR ALL CABLE TRAYS MUST BE PROVIDED AS REQUIRED BY CODE, LOCAL GOVERNING JURISDICTION AND CABLE TRAY MANUFACTURER SPECIFICATIONS. 17. ALL CABLE TRAY ROUTING THROUGH ELECTRICAL ROOMS MUST BE FULLY ENCLOSED. REFER TO CABLE TRAY DETAILS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS. 18. CABLE TRAY AND CABLE ROUTING ARE INTENDED TO SUPPORT ALL TYPES OF TELECOMMUNICATIONS CABLING AS DEFINED IN TIA-569-E. 19. RACEWAYS AND CABLE MUST BE RUN CONCEALED IN FINISHED SPACES UNLESS OTHERWISE INDICATED. 20. ALL TELECOM CABLING IN EXPOSED CEILING SPACES MUST BE IN CONDUIT. ALL CONDUIT IN LOBBIES, VESTIBULES, OPEN OFFICE SPACES, ETC. MUST BE CONCEALED IN PIPE COLUMNS, CURTAIL -WALL MULLIONS AND RECESSED ALONG BEAMS. 21. REUSABLE VELCRO TIES MUST BE USED TO BUNDLE OR MANAGE CABLES. PLASTIC ZIP TIES ARE NOT APPROVED FOR USE. 22. SIZE AND ORIENTATION OF ALL TELECOM PULL -BOXES MUST MEET OR EXCEED THE BICSI TDMM REQUIREMENTS. 23. ALL LOW -VOLTAGE CONDUIT LARGER THAN 2" MUST HAVE A MINIMUM BEND RADIUS OF 10 TIMES THE INSIDE DIAMETER FOR ALL ELBOWS. ALL LOW -VOLTAGE CONDUIT 2" AND SMALLER MUST HAVE A MINIMUM BEND RADIUS OF 6 TIMES OF THE INSIDE DIAMETER FOR ALL ELBOWS. 24. ALL CONDUITS MUST BE INSTALLED WITH PULL -MULE TAPE, 1/2-INCH WIDE, RATED FOR 1250 LBS WITH FOOTAGE MARKS. 25. THE TELECOMMUNICATIONS CONTRACTOR RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL OF THE WORK DESCRIBED IN THESE CONTRACT DRAWINGS AND SPECIFICATIONS MUST BE REFERRED TO THROUGHOUT THESE DOCUMENTS AS THE 'CONTRACTOR'. 26. THESE COMMUNICATIONS DRAWINGS ARE TO BE USED IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE COMMUNICATIONS SPECIFICATION DOCUMENTS, SHOULD THERE BE ANY DISCREPANCIES BETWEEN THE DRAWINGS AND THE SPECIFICATIONS. THE CONTRACTOR MUST BRING IT TO THE IMMEDIATE ATTENTION OF THE CONSTRUCTION MANAGER. 28. THE CONTRACTOR MUST BE RESPONSIBLE FOR REPORTING ANY DISCREPANCIES BETWEEN THESE CONTRACT DRAWINGS AND ACTUAL FIELD CONDITIONS, ANY DISCREPANCIES ARE TO BE IMMEDIATELY BROUGHT TO THE ATTENTION OF THE CONSTRUCTION MANAGER. 29. ALL CONDUITS AND SLEEVES DESIGNATED FOR COMMUNICATIONS USE, WHETHER THEY ARE UTILIZED BY THE CONTRACTOR OR NOT, MUST BE FIRE STOPPED. 30. THE CONTRACTOR MUST BE RESPONSIBLE FOR COORDINATION WITH OTHER TRADES AND DRAWINGS. FURTHERMORE, THE CONTRACTOR MUST COORDINATE THE SEQUENCE OF WORK WITH THE CONSTRUCTION MANAGER. 31. BACKBOXES, CONDUITS, STUB -UPS, AND CABLE TRAY OUTSIDE THE TELECOM ROOMS MUST BE PROVIDED BY ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR. 32. CABLE TRAY INSIDE THE TELECOM ROOMS MUST BE PROVIDED BY THE SCS/LV CONTRACTOR. 33. THE ENTIRE CABLE PLANT MUST BE TESTED AS OUTLINED IN THE SPECIFICATIONS. 34. REFER TO THE SPECIFICATIONS FOR ADDITIONAL ABBREVIATIONS AND ACRONYMS. 35. THE CONTRACTOR MUST PROVIDE ALL CABLE, HARDWARE AND EQUIPMENT SHOWN ON THESE DRAWINGS EXCEPT WHERE OTHERWISE NOTED. 36. THE CONTRACT DRAWINGS OF ALL TRADES INCLUDING ARCHITECTURAL, STRUCTURAL, HVAC, ELECTRICAL, PLUMBING, COMM, SECURITY ETC ARE PART OF THIS PACKAGE. THE TELECOMMUNICATIONS CONTRACTOR MUST REVIEW THE DRAWINGS OF ALL OTHER TRADES AND OBTAIN PERTINENT INFORMATION THAT PERTAINS TO THE TELECOM WORK AND IS SHOWN OR INDICATED ON OTHER TRADE DRAWINGS. NO EXTRAS WILL BE PERMITTED DUE TO THE FAILURE OF THE CONTRACTOR TO COMPLY WITH THIS REQUIREMENT. AFTER REVIEW OF ALL DOCUMENTS IF THE CONTRACTOR FEELS SOMETHING IS NOT IN THEIR SCOPE OF WORK, CONTRACTOR MUST TAKE EXCEPTION DURING BID SUBMISSION AND CLEARLY INDICATE THE SCOPE OF WORK FOR WHICH CONTRACTOR IS TAKING THE EXCEPTION. 37. THE CONTRACTOR MUST MAINTAIN A RUNNING UPDATE OF ALL FIELD OR CONTRACT DOCUMENT CHANGES AND UPDATE THEIR "AS BUILT" DRAWINGS AS AN ONGOING PROCESS. 38. ALL EQUIPMENT, CABLING. RACEWAY, ETC, MUST BE GROUNDED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE SPECIFICATIONS. PROVIDE GROUND CONDUCTORS, GROUND CLAMPS, COMPRESSION TAPS, LUGS, ETC, AS REQUIRED FOR CONNECTION TO THE TELECOMMUNICATIONS GROUNDING AND BONDING SYSTEM (AS REQUIRED). TELECOMMUNICATIONS GROUNDING AND BONDING SYSTEM MUST BE PROVIDED BY DIVISION 26, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO: BONDING CONDUCTOR FOR TELECOMMUNICATIONS, TELECOMMUNICATIONS GROUNDING BUSBAR, TELECOMMUNICATIONS BONDING BACKBONE, GROUNDING EQUALIZER AND BONDING CONDUCTORS TO BUILDING STEEL (WHERE APPLICABLE), POWER PANELS (WHERE APPLICABLE) AND CONDUITS. DIVISION 27 CONTRACTOR TO PROVIDE PRIMARY AND SECONDARY BUSBARS FOR TELECOMMUNICATIONS ROOMS, AND COORDINATE WITH DIVISION 26 CONTRACTOR ON THE FINAL LOCATIONS AND BONDING. 39. CONTRACTOR TO COORDINATE WITH SECURITY DRAWINGS, CIVIL AND SITE PLANS FOR CABLING DISTRIBUTION TO SITE PLAN SECURITY CAMERAS, AND OTHER ELEMENTS. 40. USE PULLBOXES WHEREVER THE BENDS IN A CONDUIT RUN EXCEED 180-DEGREES. 41. TELECOMMUNICATION CONTRACTOR MUST COMPLY WITH ZONE 4 SEISMIC REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL EQUIPMENT RACKS, CABLE TRAYS, AND ANY OTHER EQUIPMENT THAT REQUIRES BRACING OR STRUCTURAL SUPPORT, COORDINATE WITH STRUCTURAL ENGINEER FOR APPROVAL PRIOR TO COMMENCEMENT. 42. COORDINATE WITH BMS CONTRACTOR FOR DATA REQUIREMENTS. 43. UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED, ALL CONDUIT MUST BE MIN. 1" ELECTROMETALLIC TUBING (EMT) AND RUN WITHIN WALLS. 44.
