EG79804 CASE# 26-1463 O OF COLLISION TIME 02/21/26 18:36 NARRATIVE 26-1463 Unless otherwise stated, the following occurred in the City of Renton, County of King, State of Washington. On 02-21-2026 at approximately 1840 hours I was dispatched to an unknown injury hit and run collision that occurred at Renton AVE N and Airport Way. Dispatch advised there was a vehicle blocking traffic in the southbound lanes. Upon arrival, I located the driver and passenger of Unit#1. A witness said Unit#2 was on Hardie AVE SW just south of Renton AVE EXT. 1 located all involved parties and requested Renton Regional Fire Authority (RRFA) respond to the scene to evaluate the parties involved. 1 collected the involved parties driving documents and their independent recollection of events leading up to the collision. The driver of Unit#1 was traveling eastbound in lane 1 of 2 on Renton AVE EXT approaching the traffic control legend at Taylor AVE NW when Unit#2 was driving southbound on Taylor AVE NW at Renton AVE EXT. As Unit #2 proceeded through the intersection, the front of Unit#1 collided with the passenger side of Unit#2. The driver of Unit #1 had a juvenile passenger in the front passenger seat. The driver of Unit#1 and her passenger had no complaints of injuries, but were evaluated by the RRFA due to airbag deployment on their vehicle. Unit#1 sustained significant damage to the front end. The driver of Unit#1 does not remember if she had a green or red light. I requested a tow truck for Unit#1 and Bankers towing responded. The driver Unit#2 was traveling southbound on Taylor AVE NW crossing the intersection at Renton AVE EXT when her passenger side was struck by the front end of Unit#1. The driver of Unit#2 recalls having a green light. Unit#2 sustained significant damage to the passenger side of the vehicle and the rear window shattered from the impact. The driver of Unit#2 had complaints of pain in her stomach, back, and felt dizzy. The driver of Unit#2 was evaluated by the RRFA. The driver of Unit#2 did not have vehicle insurance. RRFA medically cleared all involved parties at the scene. There were two witnesses on scene who saw the collision occur. Both individuals stated they saw Unit#2 traveling southbound through the intersection when Unit#1's front end collided with the passenger side of Unit#2. The witnesses were traveling in lane 2 of 2 eastbound on Renton AVE EXT, and were to the driver side of Unit#1. The witnesses said they had a red light, but could not confirm if the lane that Unit#1 was in also had a red light. I find the driver of Unit#1 is likely at fault for disregarding the traffic control legend, however, I cannot say for certainty because 1 do not know what color her traffic light was. 1 did not cite anyone involved. I took photographs of all vehicles and uploaded to Axon. An exchange of information was provided for both parties. Unit #2 was able to drive away from the scene.
